We stayed in a silver suite, cabin 1112. We need two separate areas at night because my wife and I keep very different schedules. She goes down at 7 and I stay up till midnight. So a suite with a separate area is necessary. The silver suite is extremely spacious. It has a large living area with a bedroom that is behind a pair of French doors. What is really nice is the bathroom is accessible from both the living area and the bedroom. So I could use the bathroom without bothering my wife in the bedroom. And the bathroom has a large jetted tub AND a large shower. As well as two sinks. Like I said very spacious. We have really enjoyed the suite. Also, deck 11 was very private with easy access to the observation lounge and Pizzeria. Read Less

Cabin was excellent. We stayed in a Silver Suite on level 9 with connected adjoining room to make a two bedroom suite. Could not fault the room. Butler and attendant were excellent. Only two issues to be aware of: 1) as someone else has already commented - just beware the larger suites (Silver suites, Owners suite etc.) on level 9 sit directly under the Pool and the Bar/Grill area on level 10. I think this is a similar layout on other Silverseas ships - there can be a lot of noise from overhead. It didn't bother me too much but you definitely could hear noises early in the morning (scraping of chairs and lounges being put out and put away for the day?). It might wake up or keep some people up. 2) I like bringing TV shows and movies on my laptop to catch up on during cruises. The internet is too slow to stream Netflix, I would suggest downloading beforehand. In Silver suites, they use I think a Samsung 55" MU7000 4K TV and it is connected to their TV/media service via an HDMI cable (their streaming movie and TV was not bad, they had relatively new movies that have just come out on Bluray/DVD etc). But they have changed to a custom remote control so you can't change HDMI input (could not work it with a samsung TV app on the phone, as I think the TV itself is not connected to wifi). So if you are going to hook up your ipad or laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable, which you can normally easily do in hotel rooms etc, it's a bit tricky, the only way I could get it to work is to manually unplug the existing HDMI cable, plug in my own HDMI so I could watch what was on my ipad, then disconnect it and replace their HDMI once I was done. The hard part was as the TV was wall mounted inflexibly quite close to the wall (so you can't actually turn or look at the back of the TV), it took some practice trying to feel the HDMI outputs and changing the cables by feel. Suggest googling a photo of the rear of the TV so you know where the inputs are. However in the adjoining room which is a the equivalent of a Panorama suite (no verandah) the TV is boxed off inside/behind glass (TV off = mirror). I think this would be the case for all the verandah suites also. So there is no chance to connect your ipad/TV because you can't even touch the TV behind the glass. Read Less

The silver suites are perfect in every way. Beautiful simple elegance. The size is just right with a spacious and comfortable living area separate from your bedroom. The patio is large with 2 loungers in addition to 2 chairs and a small table. The closet is large with lots of drawers and storage. We had heard the drawers were a fairly new modification to these rooms and if that is the case, they got it right. The grey marble bathroom is fantastic with two sinks, an oversized shower and a large bathtub. We have stayed in grand suites and deluxe verandas before on other Silversea ships and this suite by far was our favorite. Very well laid out and the size of everything was perfect. I highly recommend the 11th deck for a quiet experience. There are no decks above you and we never heard any noise from the hallway or neighbors. Read Less

Cabin was adequate but not impressive. There was inadequate storage in the main cabin and very few drawers to place personal articles. There were absolutely NO drawers in the closets, and just four shelves to hold shoes, underware, and all the other small items one needs while cruising. The sliding doors separating the bedroom from main salon had no locking mechanism so doors slid back and forth when ship experienced active seas. It would have been nice to have had a second sofa or love seat where your partner could recline while reading or watching a movie. One had to use the bed instead or bring in a deck lounge chair into main cabin to recline if partner was using the sofa. Both of us caught food borne viruses or food poisoning and had to be quarintined in our cabin for a few days. Medical team was exceptional but we sure wished that we had not needed to use them.
