Four Seasons is an upscale place well situated. About 10 minutes from the port. If you have the port view, you can see the Explorer come in early that AM. I would suggest you book a Uber and insist on a SUV/minivan and take your luggage with you. It's comforting to see your baggage going on board.  Noon is a good time to arrive as the big rush should be over

    Thank you for your input.

I hope everyone is enjoying the last of their summer.

Once  I figured out how to see Regent’s assigned pre cruise hotel (by looking at the detailed itinerary), I see the hotel for this cruise out of Miami is the Four Seasons.  I have never stayed there, but it looks like a very nice hotel.  Since by cabin category includes the hotel, it is certainly worth more that the $150 pp that I would receive if I booked my own hotel. Has anyone every stayed there?

Based on various comments, we are considering just taking an Uber to the port in the morning to avoid the crowd when checking in.  Do you think it is possible to let the bus take our luggage to the ship, if we do not use the transport to the ship?

Would 11:00 AM or 11:30 AM be too earlier to arrive at the ship?

    Thanks

Thanks, ridon.   Happy sails to you.

(We started cruising 12 years ago, on a Regent cruise to the Baltics.    Have taken 10 Regent cruises since then — have no interest in even trying another cruise line.)

I'll either drive and pay $300 for parking or rent a car each way. There is not much difference in  total cost. With the new tunnel to the port it's an easy drive without the "Miami" stuff.

I guess it depends on what terminal the Explorer goes out of and the parking situation. If it's terminal J I'll probably drive as the parking building is literally feet away, but expensive.

Hope this helps. Enjoy Regent, our favorite cruise line
