Hi everyone!  My husband & I are very excited about going on this cruise.  This is our second NCL cruise.  Last year we went on the Pride of America going around the Hawaiian Islands.  By the look of the Norwegian Sun it looks very similar to the Pride of America.  I hope that’s true because we really enjoyed that ship!  There were a lot of things to do on board.  Really excited to see Key West.  My husband wants to see Cozumel.  Looking forward to seeing everyone!

In case it helps anybody else, I noticed a price drop today so the cost of a cabin with perks was just a few dollars more than I paid for “ sailaway rate” without perks.  So, I called and upgraded slightly to gain the perks.

Depending on what and when others booked,  perhaps somebody else might find an upgrade opportunity.  Of course, others will have to be careful not to lose perks they value just to catch a price on a better cabin.  Might be worth a look if one might consider an upgrade.

Normally, you are not allowed to bring any non-sealed food on or off the ship, but since Key West is still the US, I'm not sure if that restriction applies. Check the Freestyle Daily for that day to see if it says you can't bring your pie aboard; if it does, security will take it when you re-board. Now, that would be a shame!

Yes, I know. I hoped that being a US port ,it would be allowed. I definitely plan on checking onboard, and if I get a yes, taking down the name of the crew member that says yes. I really hope I can, Key Lime pie all week would be heavenly! 💚

Hi Everyone! Surprisingly few posts to this cruise! Joanna and I had decided to book this and go to Cuba on a Wednesday, and were waiting for our cruise agent to get back from a vacation, and on Thursday the government cancelled Cuba! So disappointing, but with the great deal we got on this cruise, we decided to book anyway, and we love Key West! I'm assuming that our balcony stateroom has a fridge like every other ship so that I can pick up a key lime pie to enjoy onboard! The Sun is the smallest ship I will have cruised on since I was a kid, but it was a great deal, and with all the included extras, it should be a relaxing cruise! 45 days to go!
