I chose this cruise because it went to Iceland and Greenland, plus Ireland and Scotland. My travel companion booked this cruise first and I decided to join her. I was very happy with the itinerary and booked a shore excursion in each port. The shore excursions were very helpful in learning about the ports of call. I especially enjoyed the substitute stop in the Faroe Islands. The highlights of my shore excursions were Blarney Castle, Edinborough Castle and the Tattoo. Princess did a great job of getting us to and from the Tattoo. I was very happy to achieve Platinum level and enjoyed my 250 minutes of free internet service, a great way to stay in touch. I enjoyed my cabin with an ocean view window. My cabin steward Theresa was terrific, she did a great job of always attending to my cabin when I was out for meals. My meals in the dining room were excellent. I also enjoyed the buffet on level 9. I enjoyed the talks on the ports of call, found them very helpful. My embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. I would definitely cruise with Princess again! Read Less

Overall, was very disappointed with the cruise. Would not recommend Princess Cruises. Thought that the quality of the ship’s food would be much better. The seafood was terrible; salmon over cooked, lobster tail salty, mushy and inedible. Poor selection of desserts. Staff in dining area not very attentive. Buffet very good with a nice selection. The Piazza entertainment was very enjoyable. The ice cream bar was poor, soft ice cream and few toppings. Dated furnishings but in good repair. Water leakage on some decks. Cabin very comfortable and larger than expected. Temperature control excellent. Housekeeping staff very good. On ship daily activities varied and very good. A good variety of excursions. Length of stay in some ports very limited. The shops were not very exciting, poor selection. Some items highly overpriced. Bargain sales poor. Personal items very limited. Internet service very poor and expensive. Entertainers on the whole good. Laundry room efficient. A nice addition. Read Less

Just returned from a fabulous 7 day cruise to Grand Cayman, Roatan-Honduras, Belize and Cozumel. The Caribbean Princess is one of the bigger ones and has just been outfitted with Ocean Medallion. The biggest plus for this is the excellent internet service. You can now purchase internet for the entire voyage. It is quick and you don't have to log in and out to save minutes. BUT be sure to purchase on the first day at a greatly reduced price. The ports on this itinerary were excellent - 4 days of non-stop fun. The entertainment on board was fabulous. It was nice to see new shows and entertainers and Princess is really trying to appeal to a younger crowd now with their shows. There was a much younger crown on board than I've previously seen on Princess but there was something for everyone-us slightly older folk and the younger cruisers. I can always count on Princess to deliver a quality experience. Entertainment is one of their specialties with the Voice of the Ocean to culminate a great week of entertainment and game shows/trivia. If there is a choir offered on board, I always join that as it's a great way to meet people. This time you could learn the steel drums and our fellow passengers delivered a really great concert on the final day. Grand Cayman- port is right downtown George Town. I did the tourist things like going to the Tortolla/Rum factory for tastings (very busy place), visiting the town of Hell and going to the Turtle Farm - I really enjoyed them all. Then I bought a brand watch in town - was very grateful for the Princess discount offered to me. Roatan-Honduras-this is a beautiful port made specifically by Carnival Corp. I did a dolphin encounter to Anthony's Key Resort. I loved the small group we had and the fact that our dolphins were in a very beautiful, natural setting. They were very healthy and having so much fun with us. The trainer was excellent. It is only an encounter, not a swim though. Water was lovely and warm. Then back at port, I couldn't resist taking the chair lift to Mahogany Bay beach - a man-made beach resort - I enjoyed the ride so much I did it twice. It costs US$14 at the port or US$12 bought through Princess for unlimited rides. Great views as you are taking the 5min ride and right next to the cruise ship. The beach area is noisy though and appeals to a younger crowd. I was so glad to hear that the port area provides lots of jobs for the locals as this is a very poor island and is an eye opener to see. You need to have compassion for the locals. Belize-the people of Belize are very warm and friendly. I took the tour to the Lamanai ruins. It was the highlight of my trip. You are taken by bus to a boat dock area and taken by speedboat to the Archaeological site of Lamanai deep in the jungle. We did an hour's hike round 4 of the best sites - the Jaguar Temple, the High Temple, the Mask Tempe and the Ball Court. You could climb a staircase they had built to the top of the High Temple - highly recommended - views are amazing. It feels surreal standing on top of a structure that was built over 3000 years ago. Walking trails are uneven so wear good closed toed shoes and it is HOT so bring lots of water. Back at the boat dock we were given a nice lunch of chicken, rice and beans, potato salad and fruit punch - all very welcome after a hot hike. Cozumel-I did a dolphin swim at this port and an encounter with manatees which are sweet, docile creatures. This is a commercial facility that churns out dolphin swims by the thousands each day so, whereas I was glad to fulfill a bucket list item of swimming with dolphins, I enjoyed my gentle encounter at St. Anthony's Key Roatan much more. The port shopping area is teeming with multiple ship loads of people so be aware of the crowds. Overall I chose this itinerary because of the port stops on offer and felt that visiting 4 ports in the 7 days made my trip really good value. Highly recommended. Read Less

My wife and I have had a cruise to Alaska on our bucket list for most of our married lives! We took this cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary and it could not have been better! Princess Cruise lines had a moving Memorial Day gathering! They also have a Military Veteran's get together! My wife and I are both U.S. Air Force veterans! We enjoyed meeting fellow veterans and hearing their stories of military service! There were two incidents within our cabin that were quickly corrected! The toilet that ceased flushing was made operational within two hours! A desk area light bulb that failed was replaced within an hour!! The only negative during this entire cruise was beyond Princess' control. The embarkation process was changed from the usual board as you will to a structured boarding "due to two ships in port and departing at the same time". The fact of to ships departing should not have been a problem. Difficulties arose when the port authority shunted the passengers from both ships into the same security check line!! Only AFTER clearing security were the two groups divided!!! Read Less

Embarkation- super easy out of San Pedro. Was in boarding group 9 and on the ship before 12:30. Ate in the main dining room-delicious! Kept my carry-on with me. Rooms were ready by 1:00. Stateroom L311- nice and clean. Furniture had a few scratches. No USB Ports. No barrel chair. Bed was heavenly. Balcony could use paint. Got Lotus Spa lotion every day. Had to remind steward for ice once. Buffet- nice selection. Mainly made salads for lunch. Coffee and Cones- pizza was good. Baristas seemed like making coffee was a bother. Salty Dog Grill- the Triple Smoke Burger is outstanding. Will cook burger to order. Fries were always fresh. Chef’s Table- WONDERFUL! International Cafe- great as always. Casino- too many of the same machines. Spa- wanted the thermal spa. Signed up and went the first night. Got lost. No one to help. Went back again at 9:10 (closes at 10). They were picking up water. Just relaxed at 9:40 and housekeeping came in. Got my money back and will never go back. Shops- wanted Matrishka Dolls. Asked if they would be available next day. They said yes. Went back next day and they were gone! Asked for them and they said no. On disembarkation they were in the window. Bummed. Disembarkation was easy but too soon! Took a Princess transfer to the airport. Had a bit of a wait so I checked bags and took Sky Train to Outlet Mall (2 stops). Customs was harried. Would have been a 5 except for spa experience and shops/dining options not keeping their hours. Read Less

My husband has always wanted to do the Panama Canal adventure so upon his retirement, we chose the Panama Canal Cruise. We were told by friends, Princess Cruise Line does this cruise. So, we visited our travel club and booked the 15 day cruise aboard the Pacific Princess. Little did we know what lay ahead!! Everyday was a neat adventure; never a dull moment even on sea days. So much entertainment it’s hard to choose which one to attend. Our favorite port stop was Huatulco! Mexico! Such a quaint secret on the coast line. This town is what it’s all about. Just big enough to taste the real flavor of Mexican life. The people were so nice even when you didn’t purchase their wares. The food was excellent and the setting at the restaurant we ate at was just breathtaking!! We truly think we will revisit Huatulco!! The cruise even had a choir that practiced on sea days and we performed the last day aboard. Such a fun experience. The food choices were excellent and “ If you couldn’t find enough there, something is wrong with you.” Anything you wanted. All our on shore tours were first class. We are already talking and planning our next cruise!! So until next time; “Happy Sailing”. Read Less

I chose this cruise because of the value and mostly because it leaves locally from a port in my home town. The bed was uncomfortable and the ship does not provide ANY alternatives. The response to maintenance took days. I had brought protein drinks that had to be kept cool and the fridge wasn't cooling. For some reason the ship decides to schedule maintenance on our balcony during the early morning while we were at sea and told us to keep our doors locked and curtains closed. When I opened the doors later I found notes to not touch the railings and the smell was awful. The entertainment was Vegas Lounge level. Other than the helpful, awesome crew, I was very disappointed in just about everything else. The food was pretty good too. My only complaint about that was that out of all 20 or so choices of dessert there was nothing chocolate (except cookies) on many nights in the buffet. Try Royal Caribbean instead! Read Less

If you are under age 60, I would suggest Royal Caribbean for a more upbeat lively time and more activities. For the prices of a princess cruise , the rooms should be beautiful as well as the bathrooms . The pool area is small and lacks enough seating I will say the food is excellent and staff very nice . The World Market where the breakfast and lunch buffet is lacks seating during peak times . The elevators are slow at best and you can barely hear the chime if someone is talking . The layout of the ship is confusing. As a passenger , I should not have to walk to the other end of the ship to get to the 15th floor Read Less

Having cruised "Princess" before, I was pretty sure that this would be a great cruise, and at a reasonable cost. I WAS RIGHT. Embarkation/Debarkation fast, and painless. Cabin was just a bit larger than some of the other lines I've sailed recently. Food was very good, and the buffet was OUTSTANDING. Service in the buffet was very, very good as well. BIG shows were much better than the recent offerings, on some other lines, and the presence of LIVE MUSICIANS was a surprise offering. Crew was great overall, with the only exception the wait staff at my table. They were slow, and always blaming someone else for their lack of service. (Kitchen is slow, etc.,etc.,etc. Food in the dining room was, good, but IMO, nothing exceptional. With the outstanding buffet, and several extra cost restaurants, there is no reason to be anything but pleased with the food offerings aboard this fine ship. Read Less

On my bucket list for years and could never convince my past wife to get on a ship and the timing was right. I have read some of the reviews and cannot agree with them as they sailed at a bad time. My cruise was FANTASTIC, the Panama Canal visit was the highlight, on board service was excellent and I never had to wait to be seated. The waiters did not hover over you but watched and knew when attention was required.I was not pressured into buying more drinks than I wanted. Ten days and not a bad meal, food was top notch. The buffet on deck 14 was all anyone could hope for. Housekeeping was above and beyond, I had an ocean view cabin (605) and it was always kept neat and tidy, any time that I left for a walk or a meal, things were tidied up while I was away. There was always something on the go for entertainment and the movies under the stars helped end the evening on a high note.I am giving it some serious consideration for an Alaskan cruise and it if possible definitely be on the Island Princess. Wonderful ship and crew... all the amenities without the amusement park. The ships staff and services was a bit overwhelmed the second week which was Christmas but they still tried very hard to accommodate 500 more people than the normal sailing. Entertainment was great and I highly recommend Kori Simon in the Piano bar and Barbi McCulloch and the ships entertainers in the show ENCORE! The Secret Silk show was ambitious as well. Dining was varied and always wonderful and the ships International Cafe and coffees were a great addition. If visiting Roatan I highly recommend going off the regular choices and seek out Daniel Johnson’s Monkey and Sloth Hangout. It was an amazing tour and the highlight of my trip. Check them out on TripAdvisor and reserve your spot ahead of time. Alexander, the ships cruise director was a pro and his staff kept everything running like clockwork. The casino was a bit hit and miss but that’s why they call it gambling. Overall another great Princess cruise. Can’t go wrong with the Royal or Regal Princess Read Less

The Bad : Ship shakes under sail and unbelievably worse in port, especially annoying when you are dining. Common areas good condition but we had hit and miss cabins this fall and winter, some ok and some awful condition. Ship staff said they can’t update the rooms without a dry dock and the company keeps putting that off. Personally had and witnessed some negative interactions with the Guest Services Staff. As typical of the brand no built in activies for active adults and children. Just off a Christmas cruise on another ship of the brand, many families cruising and the young people were bored out of their minds. Royal Caribbean, Carnival or Norwegian would have been a better choice for a family vacation. The Good: The company has invested in Internet upgrades for this ship. Room and Dining staff generally excellent as is usual throughout the brand. Food quality and selection was on par with the brand and far superior to Royal Caribbean. Read Less

Was really looking forward to this cruise to try the new Medallion and the new (and supposedly improved) bedding. The Medallion experience worked pretty good the first week in getting into my cabin, but then it pretty much quit working. The internet with the Medallion was a joke and most passengers spent most of their time waiting for one of the crew to help them getting logged on and off (worked much better the old way - in my opinion). Wanted to check out future cruises but couldn't look at Princess.com without using my own minutes (used to be able to do this before Medallion). You ask me why I wanted to look up future cruises on my own. Well, that would be because the Future Cruise Planner was very rude and didn't have time for passengers. We were told "If you know where you want to go and when, write it down and submit it and it'll get booked". Not at all what my fellow passengers nor I am used to. Very poor representative of Princess! Now to the absolute worst part of the cruise: the bedding. I've slept on the floor and had it more comfortable. There were huge dips in the bed and kept rolling into them even when I tried to sleep in the middle of two twins put together. The biggest issue were the pillows. My neck hurt every morning when I got up and one morning it hurt so bad it made me so sick that I vomited. If they spent so much time on creating this new bedding, I really feel they wasted a huge part of their life! There were some good things about the cruise, but someone should really look at the personnel and that are dealing directly with the passengers as they could use some much needed coaching! Read Less

Sun Princess was recommended for my age and wanted relaxation. I’m a solo cruiser and had a fantastic time. Embarkment and disembarkment ran so smoothly best I have ever had, room was clean no noise factor at all, service from crew was very polite and courteous and you could actually have a laugh with them, dining was good share restaurant brilliant steakhouse brilliant horizon food was average never ate in the dining rooms as I couldn’t get a table for one so I missed out there, entertainment and activities were great only disappointment was we had a lot of bad weather (Mother Nature was not kind to us at all) and a lot of shore excursions were cancelled it would of been nice to have some extra activities added to break some of the extra time we had spending on board due to the bad weather. If you like relaxation and not a lot of children on board this is the cruise for you as it met all my expectations I must say I did come back home renewed. My highlight was the scenic cruising through Floridian national park. I actually got home and booked my next cruise on the same ship to Fiji in January and plan on booking again to New Zealand hopefully I’ll choose the right time of year to go though so I can get to see the sites I really wanted to visit Read Less

Crossing the Panama Canal was one of our "must see" destinations. While many cruise lines offer this as an option, few offer this in depth voyage from ocean to ocean. We selected this Island Princess cruise because it was nicely priced and featured several ports that we wanted to visit. By the time we disembarked in San Francisco we were satisfied with our choice. We have done various cruise lines and itineraries over the last few years and one thing is certain, no one is perfect. Some have great food. Some have great amenities. Some have great loyalty programs. This being our second cruise on Princess we were definitely driven by the itinerary but found several other things that were pleasant surprises. Overall, our experience with the crew of this ship was very good. The Cruise director and his staff were very accessible, friendly and best of all service oriented. The entertainment on the ship was also very good. The production shows and the cast were some of the best we've seen on an ocean liner. In between we had some featured guest entertainers performing music, comedy and yes magic for various age groups. Some were better than others but overall they were entertaining and that is what they are there to do. In addition there were many activities and "parties" for the guest to participate in. Enough to keep everyone engaged and busy. As with most cruise ships, the food options on this ship were plentiful and abundant. From self service buffet at the Horizon Court, to fine dining at Sabatini's Italian bistro, to typical main dining room options, to surprise Pub Lunch options, the food was what you would expect. Most everyone could find something to satisfy their cravings. We selected the "Anytime Dining" option because we wanted the flexibility to eat whenever we wanted. We have selected this option on four different cruise lines and on various ships. We have learned that some do better than others at managing this option. While the Island Princess did a respectable job at managing the guest flow, they were lacking in consistent service delivery. Inherently the "anytime dining" option negates one of the true joys of cruising, offering a dining room staff that gets to know and understand your preferences. When you eat with different servers for every meal, you never quite connect with anyone that knows what you like. The opportunity to be surprised and delighted in your dining experience is eliminated. So much so, that in this cruise we never even got over the stage where you are recognized by the host and maitre'd as that guest that prefers to dine alone and not share a table with eight other people. I found this to be the most awkward part of my dining experience when each evening I spoke to the same maitre'd and requested a table for two and no, I do not want a table to share. After making my wishes known, I was then politely seated at a table for two in the most awkward crevices of the dining room, next to servers workstations, or next to another equally unsocial guest at a table for two that was just eight inches away from ours. It would have been nice to get a table for two by the window one evening. The only time that happened was when we reserved a table at Sabatini's, the specialty Italian restaurant. Fortunately, that was the worst part. in every other aspect dining was a fun part of our experience. On sea days, we even participated in afternoon tea with yummy finger sandwiches and raisin scones. Having gone through a recent drydock in 2017 the amenities on the Island Princess have been updated and spruced up. The common areas have nice carpeting and furniture. Technology and equipment has been upgraded in the theatre and in most lounges and bars enhancing our appreciation of the entertainment that was offered in these. The fitness center featured all new easy to use equipment as well as ample workout studio. It was conveniently located on deck six (Fiesta Deck) but was not attached to the spa area. I found this to be a plus but others might disagree. On a service level, we have nothing but accolades for the crew of this ship. Most every encounter we had with a crew member was pleasant and laser focused on providing great guest service. The embarkation in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and subsequent debarkation in San Francisco, California were about as effortless as one could make them. At each port of call we were well informed and escorted to the appropriate tender boat or gangway to venture off on our excursions. On board, we enjoyed pleasant and informative presentations by the shopping expert, the future cruise consultant, and the destination expert. All of these crew members delivered unique perspectives on the cruise experience. We definitely will entertain a future cruise on the Island Princess. Read Less

Always wanted to cross an ocean as an immigrant to Canada. This was our first cross Atlantic cruise, our first on Princess and the first ever cruise for my partner. The boat was very good. We had a great time on this trip. We were in Europe for 2 weeks before embarking visiting Paris and Rome each for a week. The staff was great. The restaurants were to our taste quite too similar. The food was good but the three anytime restaurants had a very similar decor and the menus sounded very similar. We preferred by far the steak house over the Italian restaurant for the pay a fee restaurants. We loved the cabin and the mattress and pillows were the most comfortable we ever slept on. Too bad the mattress is not sold in Canada. Our Stewart was fantastic. It was a pleasure to have Wilmer helping us. He did an amazing job. For activities, my partner would have loved more hands on activities like cooking class. I enjoyed the movie under the stars. The larger pool was a lot of fun especially with a little sea movement cresting some waves. We enjoy the coffee bar. I used an Internet package. It was great to be able to work from the middle of the Atlantic. If possible it would be great if the speed could be increased. At time it was painfully slow. Regarding the TV, we would have preferred for the movies at least an option to start the movies when we wanted like a Netflix style. A little more selection in movies and shows would be great on such a long cruise. We only used princess excursions at one harbor. We did our own at the others. We never looked really at the excursions offered. We were used to go on our own. Embarking was very easy and smooth. Disembarking was good too. Just slow with the us customs to clear. Read Less

Having done quite a few princess cruises, the Ruby is one of our favorite ships. The size is perfect; the large theatre can hold everyone if they do two shows ( which they typically do). The shows were spectacular-from the dancers and singer to the comedian and Magician. Amazing employees that act like they really like their jobs. The food was excellent in the dining room. We never felt rushed. There are spots all over the ship that you can be alone outside your cabin. We love the grill topside. We run thru the buffet at lunch a load up greens; then have them grill a chicken breast for on top (resisting the fries of course). International cafe was a little crowded this cruise ( I think it was because of their new coffee card system). There seemed to be a line often and I don’t do lines! Love love love this ship. We cruised on Ruby Princess a few months ago to Mexico and were very impressed with the line so we booked our AK trip with Princess too. Entertainment were great. Staff members were amazing. Food was fresh and elegantly prepared and served. Formal meals were not just for eating---but events to be experienced. There were 10 adults + 1child (4 yo) and we would split up to go to trivia challenges or tour backstage and do a Q&A with the dancers/singers or play a table game we found in the library and then all meet up for dinner or watched a comedian or magician together. So--there was plenty of togetherness with enough opportunities for down time to decompress. The people that made this cruise ship stand out are Alex (cruise director), Yessy and Ampolo (asst cruise directors), Juliet (hostess in Horizon and DaVinci restaurants) and Jose Luis (waiter in Curtis Stone's Share restaurant). They're all so freaking adorable that I wanted to take them home with me!! The excursions at the ports of call were fun and interesting but I could have stayed on the ship for the entire week and taken line dancing classes or played Family Feud or Who's The Cuckoo? and don't think I ever would have tired of it. My brother and sister-in-law were both finalists in VOICE of the Ocean and that was fun to cheer them on to the finale. Bring nice clothes to dress up a bit for dinner. It's not mandatory (except on formal nights) but it will make you feel special. It was hard to go home after having an entire fleet of crew members there to pamper and spoil us. This is the life!!! I would still be married if I took my ex-wife's advice on taking this cruise. My response always was, "why would want to be on an Hotel on water". Well, she was right, ( many times she was right, but this subject she was very, very right ). It was a trip of a life time, and it won't be my last. Gained 8lbs, but every oz. was GRUB'n, Shows and Bands were top notch Staff was TOTALLY professional Excursions were like the Discovery Channel live in person And met so, so many new friends, and even have dates with new lady friends lined up at Levi Stadium through out the next season ( GO 9ers ) I am season ticket holder ( 4 seats ) Only set back was one of my excursions was cancelled due to an plane crash the day before, yet , then I realize SAFETY was first with the Staff, " how do you make safety last?, you put it first" However, next trip I will not use AAA as my agent, I fill I was over charged and not given the VETERAN on board credits, but, believe me I am TRUELLY thankful for the service the STAFF on board provided Read Less

I’ve been on 13 cruises in the past four years and I’m hooked. Enjoyed Emerald Princess at Christmas three years ago (although apart from Crab Shack and Chefs Table the food was pretty poor). I was too busy to write a review however and eventually forgot. So summer 18 I decided to give Sapphire Princess a try: Room Good - super bed, good TV and good movies/ programmes. Awful smell from shower/ loo Staff Truly excellent. But a seasoned couple with 40cruises under their belt told me that in the past few years Carnival (who own Princess) have made cabin staff go from making up ten rooms twice daily to eighteen rooms in the same time. The couple felt guilty and upset for the staff about this. I too, had wondered why the staff had had to work for longer and longer every day. Now I understand. Excursions These same old time passengers - and others - advised that I should use Cruise Excursions which operate in each port of call, rather than Carnival’s Princess. This is because the Carnival ship’s charges are extortionate in comparison to Cruise Excursions, so more and more passengers are arranging excursions with Cruise Excursions before they leave to go on these cruise.ps. Entertainment Excellent - very good - only 45 minutes per evening unfortunately which is too little. Fitness I was lazy on this cruise so don’t know. : ( Food I have never written a review before now, but the food and corporate greed are the reasons I am writing this one. The food was truly awful. It was cheap canteen standard and so many passengers muttered about it - but said they never wrote reviews - that I decided someone had to do it or the food would just get worse. I stuck with salads but sent two dinners back which I’ve never done. The PR manager handled it excellently however - and, to be fair, this aspect iof Carnivals service is very good. I met one passenger who had sued Carnival - he didn’t say why - but he won. An example of cost cutting verging on the dishonest was when I asked for fresh orange juice. Instead I was given the reconstituted stuff they use on board and charged $4. So I went to the bar where it was made and asked again for fresh juice. The waiter genuinely seemed to believe it was fresh but I had had a look. I saw that Carnival had put reconstituted juice in a jug marked fresh juice and then charged me for it.... Rather than cause a fuss I pai but my goodwill was running out. The next day I did get fresh juice from fresh oranges but this time the fee was $4. 95.... I again paid but it was the last straw. One reason was that these incidents reminded me of Easter 18 - I was on another Carnival ship - P n O Ventura. As a solo passenger I pay hundreds of pounds more for a room - up to double the cost. I got the usual two chocolates in my room that first night. The next night I got only one. The manager explained that since I was the only person in the room I would only get one chocolate... For some reason a few other solo passengers got two ... Is this discrimination I ask? Seriously when another solo passenger and I complained, he reinstated the two chocolate policy for the duration of the cruise but said he would reintroduce it when we left. That is plain mean. Enrichment This is just another means of selling. Summary : Corporate Penny Pinching This is a lovely ship and, to a man, the staff is superb. But it is being ruined by corporate greed. Everywhere standards are being driven down by skinflint penny pinching. Carnival I am not saying that your board made the above decisions personally. But your policy of ruthlessly driving down costs by every nickel and dime - while posting profits in the billions - is responsible for such practices. With service such as that above however, your gravy train may seriously derail. At Christmas 18 I am going to India with Voyages to Antiquity. I hear they are decent people. I am looking forward to it. Meanwhile I’ve still got the cruising bug but this time around I shall keep you posted and would appreciate others helping. Read Less

I chose this cruise to see glaciers and to go on a land tour to Denali National Park. The food on the boat was outstanding. The service, outstanding as well. This was our first cruise, so we have nothing to compare to, but we would go on this cruise tour all over again. The entertainment was phenomenal, as was the live music all over the ship. The amount of time we spent at Glacier Bay was perfect. The excursions we chose were great. The naturalist that was on board was AMAZING. He gave lectures about all kinds of things, and narrated over the PA system several times. We left the cruise knowing SO much information about nature and the wildlife I Alaska. We had a little incident, at 3 am one morning we woke up to the smell of burning rubber. They quickly resolved the issue, called our room to report the cause, andDelivered a plate of chocolate covered strawberries to our room, and an apology. Read Less
