We choose this cruise for the itinary and the lenght. Visiting 6 nice places! It was very easy for embarkation and disembarkation, no wait! The ship was nice, like that on deck 7, you can walk all around, chairs for admiring the view. The staff is so nice and always smiling at you! The entertainment staff is really funny. A lot of onboard activities, we really like the 'Voice of the Ocean' and the 'Love Boat Party'. We took some excursions, two on beaches (St-Kitts and Barbados) and one was a water taxi in St-Thomas and shopping, really nice, on your way back to the ship, you do the tour between the island of St-Thomas and St-Croix. In Martinique, we took a little bicycle-cab (electric), the person is pedaling and showing/explaining all the major attractions, we went to the supermarket. Didn't really like Antiga, In Grand Turk, they are trying to rent you umbrella at the beach when it says at the entrance free chairs and umbrellas! Read Less

This was our "Triple Crown Cruise" since it was the third time we've sailed on her. The Crown has been updated so it looks brand new. With 10 days to relax and four new ports to explore it was a great cruise. We had the cabin the back of the ship which was very quiet except for the engines: we knew when the ship was docking since we heard, and felt, the side thrusters. There was a little more ocean motion that we felt at night and it was a pleasnt rocking that rocked us to sleep every night It stil was a wonderful room. The food was great at every food venue, but the Crown Grill is still the best steakhouse on land or sea and the Carribean. We were finally able to get reservations at The Sanctuary which was a whole new experience. The crew were outstanding and they all treated us like family. the International Cafe was our favorite place, as usual. There were great show and and the comedian was hilarious! I highly suggest swimming with the turtles in Barbados. Don't forget to book your next cruise while still on the ship! We love Princess Cruises!!! Read Less

We Uber’d to the pier for $8 for the 4 of us. We planned to walk as it is just across the street about a 10 minute walk to births 1 and 2 The usual Princess ones, but the Crown was at berth 14. We arrived around 11 am and checked in with no line then waited about 15 minutes to board. On by 11:20 I think. The ship looked good inside and out. All the crew members I talked to were friendly and open. I tend to talk to crew a lot. Only on the last sea day was it hard to find a lounger by the pool. No noticeable lines anywhere even on embarkation day. Bar service was good as well as the grill, pizza and ice cream. The buffet was good also. My youngest son was pleased to find that they had waffles for afternoon snack at the buffet; he’s a big waffle fan! I was introduced to star fruit there as well buy a server, probably the tastiest fruit I’ve had. The usual cruise activities didn’t intrude if you didn’t want to participate or watch. It was the first cruise that I actually saw whales in the sea, both jumping and spouting! We had an emergency evacuation the second day. They cleared the front half of the ship outside and the promenade deck as well as all balconies on the port side as a Coastguard helicopter came to take the passenger to a hospital in Puerto Rico. We didn’t do any shows. Saw a special guest magician that was really fun. We went to trivia a few times but mainly just relaxed on ship. The boy’s loved the kids program in the Lodge. We let them check themselves in and out on sea days. They had foosball, air hockey, skeet ball, a lot of arts and crafts, movies, and of course computer games. They came back with a lot of stuff from the program some junk and some worth keeping. They got small stuffed whales as a goodbye gift. They get a “kids” patter in the room the first day with the week’s schedule. On sea days we would have breakfast with them then they would go to the Lodge and we’d meet back for lunch and pool time most days. Most nights they would eat dinner with us and leave before we were done to go to their evening activities. On port days after our excursions or exploring we would have to check them in and out of the program in person and be given a pager for contact until sail-a-way. We had Anytime Dinning that worked great for us. As I stated we were a group of 8 and the first 2 nights we had a 10 to 15 minute wait but from day 2 on the Maitre’d told us to just show up whenever we wanted as they were holding the same table just for us! Our Head Waiter, Sebastian, took excellent care of us. On several nights he brought us special dishes for us, a couple of pasta dishes, calamari, and a special dessert once. I think they were from the Club Class. The pastas were tasty the calamari not so much. My 9 year old told him he liked the bacon in the buffet so on his birthday he brought him a plate of bacon as a gift! It was a favorite time of day for us as a family to get together each night for dinner and share experiences not only amongst ourselves but with Sebastian and Natalia our waiter. Often we would stay late talking with them and each other. We booked all excursions through the ship. We like the security of that. St. Kitts was swim with dolphins. It is kind of expensive but well worth it. This was our 9 year olds birthday request and by far the highlight of the trip for us all. My wife had done it in the past and said it was incredible, I was more along the lines of we’re on vacation and it was an experience she wanted to share with the boy’s so let’s do it. It was fantastic! We were in the water with the dolphins for about 40 minutes we danced with them, pet them, held them, they pushed us by our feet, pulled us with their fins, had them do some other tricks. It was the most amazing thing to experience. It’s hard to explain until you experience it. But if you get a chance to do it go for it! I couldn’t recommend it more. In Martinique we did a catamaran sail/beach break. The sail was much better than the beach break. It was interesting in that the tour guide constantly reminded us that Martinique is part of France and the EU, things like “all our exports go to Europe “or, “we can travel to any EU country without visas” “we are all French citizens”. It seemed a little more than just national pride, almost as if she thought she was superior because of it. Incidentally I think the majority in our group was from the UK. Martinique was the least touristy of the ports. There is a neat fort near the cruise port but you can’t go in as it is an active French military base. In Barbados we went snorkeling over shipwrecks and saw sea turtles and stingrays as well. It was really fun snorkeling there. In Antigua we did a sting ray encounter witch was fun as well. We rode a small boat out to a sand bar on the Atlantic side of the island and had about an hour interacting with the rays or just snorkeling around the shallow bar. St. Thomas we basically stayed on the ship. After 4 busy days it was nice to just relax aboard and the boys wanted to be in the kids club anyway. Grand Turk we just hung out at the cruise port beach. There was a Carnival ship in before us so it started out crowded but they departed a few hours after we got there and gave us more room. It was a good beach day. Read Less

My sister has been travelling with Princess for 25 years. She’s always encouraged us to join her and so we did this year (March 2019) and were very pleased with the experience. The Crown Princess is a beautiful ship, our cabin was kept spotless, the waiters and all dining staff were superior and the Entertainment was Broadway comparable. My husband never had an issue with his food allergies. We were a party of 10 and had no problem being seated together at anytime-dining dinners. The Antigua Catamaran excursion is well-worth it whether or not you snorkel. The rum punch on-board the Catamaran is complementary, there’s lots of shade or sun on-board and we visited a beautiful beach for optional swimming. My spouse and I stayed onboard during the snorkeling and enjoyed watching others in the water. It was our first Princess Cruise and we will definitely travel with them again. Read Less

We choose this cruise because it was sailing to certain Islands we have not visited yet. As we did not like to idea of having to get off the ship on the first ten days, it did not disrupt our plans. We made the best of it and walked into town and did some shopping. The crew was amazing and directed us on how to check out and return without a hitch. The intertaiment crew were great and the shows were excellent. The daily actives were also great to get involved with and get to meet other passengers to play with. The bartenders were amazing and always remembered your names and your drinks. We had a great time and will be cursing back on Crown Princess in January 2020. The cruise director and his staff were great and always willing to get you involve with the game and trivia and we look forward to getting involved. The waiter and assistant waiter were out of this world in taking care of our dining needs and what we like to eat. They always made sure our drinks were at our table for dinner. Read Less

We chose this sailing as it was a good value for a spring break escape with our granddaughters. It was our 47th cruise, but first for our 6 year old and 2nd for our 9 year old. The entire experience was very different from what we normally do / enjoy on cruises as a couple. Our focus was for the children to have a good time. As detailed in specific section, our mini-suite was awesome! Our stateroom attendant Ryan was excellent. We sailed the Eastern Caribbean for the upmteenth time. I carefully selected excursions that our girls would enjoy. For convenience and safety, I booked them directly with the cruise line. In St Thomas we did Coral World. I would absolutely recommend the facility for a fun and educational experience. The tour guide was very informative and wonderful with the girls. After the excursion, guests have the opportunity to swim at Coki Beach. I was prepared with swimsuits, but my kids didn't want to leave the touch tank. The other feature they particularly enjoyed as the aviary and feeding the birds. HOWEVER, next time I would NOT book with the cruise line. As has always been my frustration with cruise line excursions, there was far too much waiting in line. We checked in at the pier a few minutes before the scheduled time, then waited in the hot sun for at least a 1/2 hour; then they crammed us like sardines into open air taxes for the 1/2 hour ride to Coral World. The tour ended by 1pm, but our ride back wasn't until 2:30pm. It was too much time to hang out at the touch tank but not enough time to do the beach. Once again we WAITED for a painfully long time while other guest finally decided to come to the taxi. In retrospect, I'd suggest taxis leave as each one fills up. It was hot, boring and a waste of time. Take a cab. In St Maarten we booked the airport snorkel tour and everything was BRILLIANT. We had a minimal wait time, no bus, just walked to the boat (at the water taxi pier.) We had a pleasant boat ride to Maho Bay. The crew dropped a floating dock off the side of the boat for easy access to the water. They provided floatation belts and snorkel gear for those who wanted it. It was a wonderful experience we all enjoyed and would do again. The crew were great; they announced each plane as we could barely see it approaching. It's not quite the same as watching from the beach, but wasn't as noisy or intimidating either. On board you can order food and/or drink at very reasonable prices. We had main dining with a table for four. Probably because we had children we were assigned a table "in the corner." We were directed to the table the first evening with that specific description. A few nights into the cruise, I had noticed a table by the window that had not been occupied and asked about it. They told me it was assigned to a party but they hadn't showed up, so we were delighted when they moved our table number over there for our 5:30pm dining. Our server apparently got sick mid-cruise and we were given another one, so nobody learned our preferences...one of the reasons we prefer assigned dining. Our meals in the dining room were always very good; we actually never chose an entrée from the always available selection. We encouraged our 9 year old to try things from the adult menu and she loved doing so! One evening she said "Mamie, when I order from the adult menu I don't feel like being sassy!" OK, then! We did have dinner on the Lido Deck both formal nights because...I left one suitcase tucked safely in our master closet at home during the chaos of loading the car. It held all of the mine and the girls' formal attire. We didn't realize until we were sorting bags for the porter to take. We made one quick emergency trip to a store as I struggled to remember what else was in that bag. We managed without formal attire, still got some great pictures and didn't go hungry. We loved our two breakfasts in the dining room and wish we had had more time to do that every day. We had room service more on this cruise than all other 47 cruises combined, but the girls loved dining on the balcony...close quarters and all. Horizon Court offered much more quantity than quality, but it was fine. I was very pleased that the grill now uses real cheese rather than plastic wrapped singles they had on our transatlantic. The girls loved having pizza and we all had too much of it. The "ice cream" is extremely poor quality and I won't touch it, but the girls liked it. My husband and I love going to the evening shows, but went only four nights together (one with the girls) and he went alone the final night to Bravo, which I have seen before and don't like. Everyone loved Sweet Soul Music and the adults absolutely loved Born to Dance. Comedian Steve Caouette, two nights in a row, was FANTASTIC!!! We took our girls to Camp Discovery the first afternoon so they could see the area, meet the counselors and get the schedule. There were a lot of kids on board due to it being spring break. Our girls wanted to go there every time the doors were open, but we negotiated family activities and pool time to keep them from being in programming all the time. We were very pleased with the variety offered to the kids and how much ours enjoyed it. The children's pool is too small for spring break! And we experienced issues with a couple older kids pushing and bullying. I sat right on the edge while mine were swimming and sternly advised the three particular problem boys not to put one finger on the little kids. They quickly learned to go to the family pool when my kids were there. My girls also enjoyed the family pool (ranges from 5'3" to 7'3") while we were in it with them. MUTS offered only two family movies, but not at times that worked for us to see them. There were way too many concerts (CUTS?) but at least the volume wasn't as loud as it had been on the Royal in December. We are disappointed our girls didn't get to experience MUTS...maybe next time. Overall, it was a wonderful time. We'd absolutely do it again and purchased Future Cruise Certificates for that purpose. Read Less

Nice and clean ship, but many things are just lacking. Theater shows are good IF you like music and dancing. Nothing else. No variety whatsoever. The smallest balcony cabin I ever had in my 26 cruises. Cabin did not even have a couch or a 2 seater. Not enough entertainment. Top decks have no water or any other attractions, like many other ships nowadays. Complimentary beverage options are too limited and ONLY available in the buffet on deck 16. And I mean it. Not a single beverage station anywhere else on the top decks or in the lobby/piazza/atrium. Menu choices in traditional restaurant is lacking. Nothing too exciting, and staples of cruise dinners not even offered. The coffee in the main restaurant is so weak, one think one’s drinking tea. After complaining about how weak it was, got no help and the coffee was just as weak on the next evening, and next, and next. But we were invited to order “specialty coffees” though. I guess the super extra weak coffee is a calculated measure. Waitstaff was good. So was the cabin steward. Read Less

Was the best time on the ship! Enjoyed the ease of getting on and getting off. Was quick and easy, nice for a change. The Regal is our favorite ship as this was #7 on her! They always appear to keep her fresh and looking good. Had a mini suite and enjoyed the extra space! MDR - was upset with not being allowed into the MDR. We got on board and found on the patter our time was 5:30 pm. Turns out we were suppose to be there at 5:15 pm, can't make that to late with luggage, sail away. Don't know why they changed times but am about to give up and start looking at other Cruise lines who have normal dinning times and stick with them. Also never seen so many people in the Buffet at night, wonder if that's a sign? Entertainment - The comic was outstanding, the other shows are old so we don't go anymore. But had some great movies with MUTS! Service was impressive. Folks actually care and smile. Going to miss that if we start looking at other lines. Hope they are that impressive! Ports we been to but always enjoy wondering around both islands and looking around. Would love to have gone to the French side in St. Maarten's but keep hearing its not ready or may not be safe. But it makes me love the sun, warms and folks in port and the shops in town. Got to love island life! Would love to go again and again just have to find a ship that fits our needs since the Regal is heading to the other side of the world, we will miss her! Read Less

I sailed on Princess cruises 4 other times and they have been memorable experiences every time. The Production shows have always been excellent. The entertainment from the piano player, dancing, movies over the stars are great! The food is excellent. Big variety. I love lobster night. Not many cruise lines have lobster night these days, but Princess does. Princess advertises that they are the Love Boat and they truly are. Going back to the entertainment I loved seeing the Beetle Maniacs. The band sounded and looked exactly like the real Beetles. I first saw them on my last Princess cruise, the Crown Princess two years ago. I was impressed with them then and I was impressed with them on this cruise. I also liked going to Princess Cays. It is their private Island and it is so relaxing to go to the beach and ocean. The cruise provides food on the Island too. It is very convenient. I would recommend Princess Cruises to anybody that wants a fun and relaxing vacation at sea. Read Less

We have cruised many times before but this was our first cruise on a Princess ship. When we booked this cruise we asked for fixed dining for our evening meal. Once on board the ship we found our time for evening meal had changed yet again - this was changed twice in the UK - without notification - from 8.15pm to 7.15pm and then on arrival on the ship to 7.45pm again without notification. The service in the Allegro dining room was terrible - most nights well over 2 hours for a 3 course meal - too late for seats in the shows. The meals were not fine dining and the presentation on the plates was awful. Soup was sloshed around the side of the dish, which left marks on the table cloth and a meat pie in a pot was the same. The sea was not rough. Another day we had cold potatoes and rock hard vegetables - is this the norm on Princess ships? We never felt full after our evening meal. Then one evening one meal we chose off the menu was a beef tenderloin and asked for it to be well done. This arrived red raw and was sent back via our waiter. It had to be returned 3 times - could not eat it - felt ill - the Head waiter in white jacket was aware of the situation. What happened to formal night? We dressed up for dinner - others dressed in shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. We were given a time of 11pm to put our cases out on the last night - then this was changed to 10pm at the last minute - just before we went for dinner. This was not possible, as we were not back from our evening meal which took so long. We booked trips earlier and arrived on the ship to find that they had been changed with extra money added onto our bill - without any notification. 0ur original trip on home flight day was cancelled for some reason. We queried our bill and the extra money was deducted. We had to vacate our cabin at 8am so had to take the trip that had been allocated for us - without our knowledge - at an earlier time of 8.15am in the Concerto Restaurant for 9am coach on our last day, as we were not flying home until late evening and although the coach took us to the airport we still had 8 hours sitting about. We had a mini-suite which was good - no Kettle in the cabin but very clean - but by the time we got back from the safety meeting on our first day - our champagne was flat! Our cabin steward moved items around and some papers, maps etc., disappeared. We are tidy people. Some items were moved in the bathroom the day before we were leaving - obviously trying to clean up for next people! VERY DISAPPOINTING - NEVER AGAIN Read Less

The ship is nice, crew were good with the exception of stateroom steward who after getting his additional tip was not please so he was just ugly the last day to deal with. The biggest issue is the entertainment or lack of it. Yes they have a few cute game shows and they had a comedian one night that did the same old cruise ship jokes. But other than that if you did not want to sit and listen to music or dance there was nothing. In the good Princess days there were all kinds of things, comedians hypnosis, dueling pianos, etc etc and more than one at once. Now there is one per cruise comedian and all the rest is singing and dancing for 60 and over. It’s become a close second to Holland America we’re if you get to the dining room under your own steam you have accomplished something. Everywhere you went people complained about poor quality and lack of entertainment. Wake up Princess while others are stepping it up you are going down hill quickly Read Less

First, this is our 2nd cruise with the Regal. Boarding was awesome, however recommend not to pre order your medallion, wait until you get to terminal. They are still working out the kinks with this process. For example,we ordered our medallion 3 wks before our cruise, however received another passengers medallion and someone else got ours. The Technolgy on the ship is amazing and blows all other cruise lines away. It’s so cool because their are cool apps you can download like ocean ready, ocean compass and play ocean. We used play ocean because of all the Triva games and new ones every day. We stayed in a balcony, D332 it was ok however we had to look down on a life boat, not cool. Our steward was Denchi he did and awesome job! Cabin was always clean, only wish Princes would install USB ports near the beds and a outlet in the bathroom. Our most memorable moment regarding entertainment was the group Beatlemania they were amazing, sounded and looked just like the Beatles. We didn’t go to any other shows, most were the Princes dancers which have seen before and the comedians according some of the passengers were only so so. We did however like the The Voice of the Ocean it was very similar to the real Voice. Regarding meals, we love that Princes still does not charge with Room service unlike other cruise lines. We used this service often. The only complaint would have to be the Horizon Buffett. It appeared to be lacking variety and served same food every morning and the lunches were also lacking. The main issue was they would take the lunch Buffett food down by 2:00 to prepare for dinner, so we just went to Alfredo’s Pizza which is free and amazing. We ate at the Crown Grill their steaks were amazing, however I think the choices on their menus are over tops, meaning just a salad would be nice, not all this fancy food . Can’t say enough about the pastry chef amazing desserts with every meal. The dining room meals were ok,again kind of over the top..keep it simple. We bought the beverage package, so totally worth it, unlike other cruise lines you get top shelf without any extra cost. Love the activities, so nice to see Oz who came from another cruise line. We played lots of Triva and met new friends, I wish they would have the Triva not in Princes Live no tables and can’t get your chairs in a circle. Wasn’t crazy about the Cruise Director never saw her except for special events. Love Alfredios Pizza especially Mica our sweet waitress. And omg the Lady Luck lady who hosted Bingo spoke to the passengers like we were kindergarten kids, awful and annoying. Our excursions to Princes Cay was the best, rented a 9.00 raft and enjoyed relaxing. Try to take the first boat off so you can get a good spot and a raft. Paid for a excursion at St Thomas, we took the St John Champagne tour it was second time going, however it was different they hired a new girl and she get pouring champagne mixed with rum punch, not smart... Dissembarking was quite easy we used Princes Transfer to the airport it cost but worth it. Because we opt to come one day earl, we rented a car best idea ever. Alamo rental has a car rental at the port you can drop your car off and a shuttle will take you to the port.. One last note during our cruise a small plane crashed with 2 men overboard, the Regal was the closest ship, Captain and crew did a fanstatic job with the rescue, both men were saved because of their expertise and speed. We missed the little souffle's but there were two served this time. We had a great wait staff, hostess & Maitre'd. Matt the Cruise Director was awesome. The cruise has a lot of entertainment to watch and be part of. I was pleased with all the food options, the only food option I was not pleased with was the lobster dinner on the last formal night. I did not like the lobster served with green risotto and a cream sauce and didn't feel that was a full dinner when you compare to the other dinner options that were served pervious nights. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our cabin was always clean . The entertainment was wonderful I really enjoyed the ship dancers. My favorite band was Symphonee. The Live DJ played music for all ages and was great getting the crowd involved. The cruise director staff made my 1st cruise very memorable and fun .I loved watching the marriage match show. For my 1st cruise I would defiantly cruise with Princess again. Read Less

We chose this 7 day cruise as it fit in with our March Break schedule. Since my husband and I both work for a school board, we wanted a quieter, more adult only cruise to relax and unwind. We love your hashtag # comebacknew as Princess definitely delivers. The ports of call suited our need to explore the area before returning back to the ship. Princess Cays was a perfect beach day. A beautiful little spot with a bbq lunch and bar service. We rented a clamshell for some much needed shade. The anytime dining had a great selection that accommodated our vegetarian lifestyle. Friendly wait staff and delicious food. The best creme caramel I have ever had. Sabatini’s delivered a rich and delicious multi course meal with vegetarian options as well. We truly felt spoiled. The adult only pools offered a quieter spot for us to cool off from suntanning and reading. I truly enjoyed 3 treatments at The Lotus Spa while I was aboard The Caribbean Princess. I almost fell asleep. A great way to relax and unwind. We’ve already left a deposit and are planning our next Princess Cruise. Read Less

We were just looking for a getaway (we live in Florida so weather not an issue). We had sailed on Princess before - and they had the best food of the "mainline" cruise companies - so that was our reason for picking the Regal Princess (and this part did not disappoint). We went all out and booked a full suite - and there, my friends, lies the problem. Very, very disappointed with Princess suite amenities - if we are going to pay almost $4000 for a one-week cruise, we expect to get amenities commensurate with that. First, the suite passenger venue (concierge lounge) wasn't worth going to - it was so small I would be embarrassed if I were Princess plus this is a pretty large ship and we were at the front and the lounge was as far aft as you can get and 3 decks up). Other than a one time minibar set up, we had to pay for everything: Every other ship we have been on over the past 4 years provides complimentary Wi-Fi to suite guests - but not Princess (150 complimentary minutes on one device - so either me or my wife was out of luck - so we didn't even bother). To me, the crowning insult was having to pay for a quiet spot on the upper decks. We both love to relax on a cruise so look for a quiet shady area to read, nap, etc. There aren't any such places on this ship unless you want to pay extra ($80/day for a cabana in the Retreat or a similar amount for a lounge chair in the Sanctuary). Our cabin was spacious - but the bedroom was probably 3 times the "living" area - seems to us they could have given you a little more room for when you are awake! Clearly Princess is trying to appeal to a younger audience - no quiet background music anywhere. And so much for their policy of not holding lounge chairs (supposedly in unoccupied for 30 minutes, the crew would remove belongings ha ha ha) I would go for a cup of coffee at 7:00 a.m. and most of the chairs already had stuff on them - but no people! And that goes for the minimal number "shady" chairs that were available. Enough - Princess is off our list!!! Read Less

-Too long between Appetizers & Main course 3 nights in a row. -Guest Serbvices staff should raise their heads to realize who’s next and not the one who walked straight to the counter. -Didn’t receive disembark luggage tags and when we asked to have them sent up they responded that they were too busy. I said we were not in a hurry and they said they couldn’t promise anything (I think the steward coulda got them as he should have) -Club 6 staff terrific (shout out to Jojit) -Embarkation and Disembarkation terrific -Buffet terrific. -MUTS terrific -Lounge chair hogs not only active but the lack of enforcement tells you it’s actually condoned by Princess. -Love the Medalian and relatively inexpensive internet. (could add onto Medalian service by installing several ‘readers’ at the bars so passengers could let the bartenders know who is next to be served-probably expensive to do but a worthwhile enhancement). My husband & I went on this cruise after having to cancel a cruise in December due to a death in the family. We love the Caribbean and we go every year. This was our 15th Princess cruise and now we are Elite with all the benefits that includes! The Regal Princess is a Beautiful ship - our first time on Regal - but we have been on the Royal five times before so we knew our way around. The Entertainment -- the Sail Away Party was great with beautiful dancers and great music until they played this stupid spin the wheel game! They spin the wheel and go out into the audience and find people wearing jeans or sunglasses or whatever the wheel lands on -- stupid! Stick with the dancing! We went to see the comedian one night - he was really funny the first night - not so much on the second time! We were more entertained by Robb the bartender at Outriggers Bar! He is great! Our only disappointment was the food in the dining room! The steaks were tough, the veal was tough, they have taken many things off the menu like escargot and have changed the recipes on other dishes that were delicious before like the scallops! Why change a good thing? I feel like they are making cut backs and they are doing it with the food! We still had plenty to eat -- but one of the BIG things that we look forward to on a cruise is the FOOD! We did go to Crown Grill and that was delicious! The black & blue french onion soup and the goat cheese salad are my favorites there! Would I go again? Of course! Tomorrow!!! Just please hear me Princess - we just became Elite - we don't want to change cruise lines now! Please make your cut backs elsewhere and go back to the good quality food and service in the dining room! Read Less

This was my 26th cruise on Princess. They are the most consistent, affordable cruise line. The cabins are good sized. Plenty of storage. We were in a mini suite. Two TV's, a small balcony, toward the front of the ship. Bathroom had a bathtub which I don't care about but it was certainly roomy. The food is always consistent. I love eating at the buffet. Theme nights almost every night. Mongolian night and the Asian "bowl" nights are my favorites. Everything is made to order and outstanding. The rest of the nights are Italian, Mexican, American and Gala night. Each one is very good with many, many choices. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Our cabin steward was so efficient. Our cabin was cleaned and restocked minutes after we would leave the room. I think Princess has the best pizza on deck of any cruise line. Hamburgers are good also. The entertainment is good but not great. The crowning jewel is Movies Under The Stars. Absolutely love them. And current movies too. I love the free movies on the TV. All in all, we never have to worry if the cruise is going to be good, as they have all been good. That is more than I can say with other cruise lines that we have frequented. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it fit within our schedule and we needed to get away for some rest and relaxation. We had been on the Regal Princess before and had enjoyed this ship immensely. This time we were pleasantly surprised with the improvement in the selection and preparation of the food. The American bacon was greatly welcomed but make sure it is crispy. Service was excellent and always with a smile. Entertainment was also stepped up from our previous cruise. Embarkation had one hiccup in that the shuttle took some time to get to us at the airport. Otherwise, getting on and off the ship was about as good as it gets. Getting to the theater from dinner seems to be a rush to get a good seat but this is true no matter what the cruise ship. More signage is needed to advertise the fact that life-jackets aren't needed at the life-boat drill—a card in the cabin would do it if prominently displayed. Read Less

First time on Regal. Mini-suite was very nice. Extra room was appreciated as well as the bathtub. Cabin steward was perfect. He kept the cabin in top order. Medallion worked as they advertise. Helpful to find my better half anywhere in the ship. Food was great as well as service staff. Thought about. Specialty restaurant but main dining food was just fine. Good portions and still hot. Deserts were very nice and were wonderful. Sitting areas offer a wide choice from outside to quiet, music or entertainment were your choice. One of the nicest ships I have sailed on. Wife enjoyed the spa but too much hard sell for products. Photographers did not block walk ways. Cruise had perfect weather for outside activities While on this cruise the ship was requested to do a rescue of plane crash victims. We were tright there and saw the professional actions and responses of departments. Goggle Regal Princess Rescue Read Less

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We were blown away by Princess from beginning to end. The pre-boarding check in and medallion program were amazing. It made embarkation and debarkation easy and fast. The medallion made purchases on the ship much easier, as well as serving as our bluetooth key to our stateroom. Our cabin was spacious and had lots of storage space for our clothes and things. We did not feel as though we were living out of our suitcases. All the staff was courteous and helpful, but our cabin steward was a step beyond. Our room had been tidied several times a day and always had clean towels. He put up balloons and a banner for my birthday, which happened to coincide with our trip. Even the artwork in the hallways was exceptional. We did not eat in the formal dining room, as our dinner hour was later than we expected and all the entertainment was going on by then. This was not the fault of the cruise line, but ours. There was just too much to do on the ship, so we ate at the buffet on our own schedule. But the food on the buffet was amazing as well. Not only a huge variety of international cuisine, but beautiful sculptures made by carving the watermelons and appealing displays of fruits, vegetables, and even spices and teas. The kitchen definitely accommodated all diets. We ordered room service for a couple of snacks and found the menu substantial, and the food was delivered quickly and courteously. The on-stage entertainment of Broadway quality shows, bands, orchestras, and comedians was first rate - as good as any I've seen. There were also programmed activities like the usual trivia and bar entertainment, but many unhosted activities around the ship as well. The sports deck was always busy with games and sports, and the fitness center and spa always had something going on, sometimes around the ship. The pool deck doubled as a movie theater under the stars with a giant screen in front, as well as a platform for the dancing fountain shows (like the ones at the Bellagio in Vegas). The shore excursions desk helped us choose excursions where we were most likely to see the things we wanted, but they offered a self-help option for tnose who knew what they wanted and chose to skip the line altogether. They took care of us on the excursions - such as a ship photographer with us to capture pictures of our fun - and got everyone where they needed to go. We noticed a kids' fun section, but as our kids are grown we did not need it. We found the spa and fitness centers well stocked with equipment and amenities, but did not use the personal trainers. One thing we noticed throughout the ship was that everyone seemed genuinely happy to work there. From the cabin stewards who freshened our room several times a day to the food servers singing to themselves, the staff seemed genuinely happy, which made our experience even better. In the hospitality industry everyone is usually pleasant and helpful, but the Regal Princess crew and staff are exceptional. The ship was a floating 5 star hotel and restaurant. We will definitely be sailing with them again and have highly recommended them to our friends who cruise. Read Less
