Port of Milwaukee

Situated on Lake Michigan's western shore, Milwaukee is a popular port stop on Great Lakes cruises. As a large North American city, it offers much to see and explore for nearly any type of traveler, including world-class museums, a brand-new waterfront park, an excellent zoo and many other attractions like the Mitchell Park Horticultural Society.

However, Milwaukee is best known for two things: Beer and baseball, and lovers of either or both will not be disappointed in its abundance of breweries (many open for tours) -- including Miller Brewing Company -- and its pervasive baseball culture. Even if you're not in town during baseball season and can't catch a Brewers game, baseball enthusiasts might still consider a tour of famous Miller Park.

About Milwaukee

Pro

Whether you’re visiting Milwaukee for the baseball and beer or your just along for the ride, there’s plenty to experience in the “Genuine American City".

Con

Milwaukee is a large city and it’s impossible to see more than a few attractions in a single day.

Bottom Line

There’s something for everyone in Milwaukee, but it's best to visit with a game plan in mind.
