Mini-Suite with Balcony (MX) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: January 2017
Wonderful sized cabin. Plenty of room for a ship, was worth the upgrade over a regular balcony.

Instead of walk in showers they had bathtubs that you had to step up and over to take a shower. Very dangerous. Not a lot of space for clothing. Configuration of the closet was strange. Lighting very poor in room.

Mini suite ok…just a bigger version of a regular balcony cabin with a bigger bathroom. But having the extra room was nice. Big balcony. It had brand new mattresses as a result of the dry dock. Lots of wood...very classic feel. Closet not very well designed…too close to the bed and hard to get to the shelves inside. TV channels aren’t very good, not a very good variety, and the TV remote didn’t work very well. Too many light switches in the cabin…hard to figure out what switches turn on what lights. Water pressure not great, but adequate. Bring a travel clock. The only clock in the room was on the phone, and it was very hard to read, and not lit. Not very many clocks around the ship. Read Less

Last port balcony minisuite aft. Layout had drawers and shelf by bath in front that impeded movement. Balcony comes equipped with "wet paint" signs that don't go away. Minor issues (drawer off track, one closet door hinge off). Cabin steward Adrian was the best. Smoking teens and noisy children next door, but secluded spa was other wall and right around corner, as were elevators. Good cabin choice for us. Read Less

Mini Suite 11002 is at the very end of the hall, forward, starboard side. It was SO quiet and peaceful as it’s in a low traffic area. You will see more officers coming and going from the bridge entrance next door than you will see other passengers. Our room steward was amazing, and used our names from day 1. He made the trip special. The mini bar and bathtub in the suite were wonderful, but our favorite part was the silly little coffee pot that we got to fire up every morning. No rushed calls to room service, or runs to the buffet or coffee shop for coffee. LOVE!And a little tour of the cabin:http://youtu.be/IC7k59kkP30 Read Less

What a superb home for 14 days at sea! We had more than adequate storage space, lots of closet space a huge bed, fantastic view of the ocean and a bathtub in the restroom! Talk about luxury at sea. Our only complaint about the room was having to inhale the second-hand smoke of the guests in the adjacent mini-suite who sat on their balcony and smoked like a chimney. However what can you do on a fully packed ship other than grin and bear it. Bottom line about Stateroom 11556 is that we miss it and wish we had never departed this ship. Read Less
