I'll start by saying that this is my 10th NCL cruise in the last 3 years. I'll probably do this cruise again on the October 25 to Nov 08 sailing. The first person I'd like to compliment is the cruise director Ferdie! He is the best I've seen. He probably said hi to me three times a day. This man is always working! The people at guest services were very helpful and friendly. Cristina and the ladies at Cruise Next were friendly and informative. Aris, Camille, Millie, Josh, Zeng were some of the cruise staff that helped make the cruise great. Simone and Rose in Photography were fabulous! The restaurant staff was very accomodating with my special diet requests. Xia Lu and Afirin were a delight to see in the shops. The Ship was My destination! I spent all 14 days on the ship. I enjoyed the 7 port days in a row with most folks leaving the $700 million dollar ship to me! Lying out on the quiet sundeck listening to a book. Pure relaxation! The production show cast with excellent. I enjoyed outstanding singers Sarah and Nick. The Spinnaker lounge is awesome. It's on deck 13 forward and has 3 walls of windows for a great view. The Bliss lounge was fun for karaoke, and dancing. I was always able to find a treadmill in the fitness center. The painting classes were fun. Lastly I must say that the other guests were great. Almost everyone was cheerful and friendly! Read Less

We actually choose this cruise because of the unbelievable price and the beautiful islands we would be visiting. The staff were so friendly even if you were just passing them in a hallway, they would always have a smile and say hi. This one woman at the buffet providing hand sanitizer was the happiest person I ever met. She would greet each guess by saying “washy washy, happy happy!” The cruise director Richard was awesome, he would attended every bit of entertainment and would talk to everyone and tell funny jokes. The magician PJ Whn was awesome and Max the aerialist was unbelievably talented. The buffet could have been much bigger and a whole lot better. Ninja turtle our waiter at the Venetian was awesome and the food was tasty. We felt like the drink package wasn’t worth the $ because we were visiting 5 ports but next time we will definitely purchase it. The drinks are $10-$15 USA plus 20% gratuity on-board. The NCL site says you don’t need reservations for bamboo but I would strongly suggest too, our family of 8 was unable to get a seat the whole week. Read Less

We wanted to try out Norwegian because we are trying out different cruise lines to see which we like. This was one of the largest we have been on. The shows were wonderful. The staff and crew were very customer oriented. They were always polite and greeted you with a smile. The ship was kept clean. The restrooms were never dirty. The food was great. We will definitely cruise with them again once we save up some money. I liked that there was as a huge area for kids to play in the pools and it had water slides. It was away from the main pools and hot tubs, but it had hot tubs for the parents/guardians who were watching them. The staff who watched the kids did a good job because any time I saw kids, they were well behaved and not disruptive, but yet were giggling and having a great cruise. Our kids are grown and when they were small, we never would have allowed the type of behavior we have seen on other cruise lines. Good job Norwegian and good job parents for keeping a close eye on your kids. Read Less

Great process for embarkation. Smooth and fast Cabins clean and spiffy. Cabin Steward was always available but did not need to have him fix any problems with cabin. Refurb of ship is quite nice. Very evident they spent attention to making inside beautiful However carpets are showing age in cabin and hallways. Dining was excellent. Pretty much no enrichment activities Excursions went well. Once canceled by weather and ship staff was great in reschedule. Time in port could of been more. Seemed they could of left later in the day. Check-in and Out from ship was swift and efficient. Explored San Juan before and after due to airline schedules. Stayed in Old San Juan and very satisfied with hotel. No hurricane damage evident in Old San Juan except some paint on buildings seemed to have been sandblasted off. Very evident most buildings were repainted. San Juan area east of Airport near casinos saw several hotels and buildings abandoned and awaiting repair. People of Puerto Rico are great and were happy we visited!. Read Less

We chose this cruise for its Southern Carribbean itenarity. We visited 5 islands in 6 days with only one sea day which we liked as well. Starting in San Juan we flew in the day before to enjoy the city of Old San Juan. We stayed in the Sheraton OSJ which is a great location right across the street from "some" of the cruise terminals. Be advised that there are two different terminals in OSJ and our ship left from the Pan American terminal. This is across the bay from the hotel and will require a cab or uber. Embarkation was a breeze due to our late departure. This resulted in lots of free style choices to board the ship starting at 12:30pm and ending at 6:30. The ship layout is a bit confusing but after a couple days you can find your way around. The ship was very well maintained, clean, updated, and in my opinion managed. Buffet layout was a bit confusing, food was average. O'Sheenans food was great, hot and plentiful however service was lacking. We had dinner in Vinietian main dining on the back of the ship as we found less wait times and better table availability here over Aqua main dining. Entertainment was excellent, production shows were standard but enjoyable. The highlight shows were the magician, comedian, and elements. Ports of call all excellent with no tendering to get to the islands. Visiting St Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, US and British Virgin Islands. Freestyle disembarkation was a breeze as we had booked a excursion with airport transfer. I would advise that disembarkation times will adjust if customs has a back up which could lead to some stress with a tight flight schedule. Read Less

First cruise as Platinum Lattitude member. It was wonderful. Great itinerary on a great ship with great staff. They all were very friendly and helpful! Welcomed us back like one of the family. Met and several spoke with Hotel Director, Vitor and F&B Director, Ross. They both answered questions and shared their experiences. We wrote a thank you note to Ross telling him how great the food was on board both in the buffet and specialty restaurants. He stopped by the next night while we were dining to thank us in person! Vitor spent about 15 minutes telling us about Alaska and sharing his photos. Food was absolutely delicious everywhere on the Jade. The entertainment was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed. Our interior room was fine. We like the fact that the sun does not wake us in the morning. We truly enjoyed Cagney’s three times, LaCucino twice and LeBistro twice. In La Cucino, our server, Shekhar and Maitre ‘D, Charles McLean were fantastic! The best dessert was in LeBistro where Dusan and Cliffton were excellent! Ruth Gomez was our stewardess and took very good care of us ! Each time that we sail on NCL it is like coming back to our family and each time we leave, we say that our next vacation will not be as good! But each time we end our cruise, it seems to have propelled our expectations to the top, once again! We love the Cruise Next program and educate fellow cruiser on how great the program is. We love NCL and make sure all our friends are aware of the awesome time we have whenever we sail with NCL!! Read Less

This was our first cruise and we were not disappointed. Embarcation was very efficient although a bit slow having so many people to check in but once on board, our holiday truly began. We made our way to O’Sheehans which we were told wouldn’t be as busy as the buffet restaurants and had a lovely lunch. Our suitcases were taken from us when we got off the bus and they reached our cabin before 2pm. We were on deck 10 room 10074 mid ship with a balcony (our own bit of private heaven). The stateroom was lovely and more spacious than I thought it would be, very well appointed and very quiet. Our steward Sagar introduced himself and he was a lovely person, nothing was too much trouble and of course we had a different towel animal each night. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good at times and not to our taste at other times. For example, the violinist in the main theatre was a little bit boring and we left half way through but there was always something going on in diffierent venues throughout the ship. The Elements show is not to be missed and was spectacular, this takes place on the second last night on board. We didn’t go to the white party so can’t comment on that. Eating, we didn’t get to experience any of the A la carte restaurants as they were fully booked but we went to all the complimentary restaurants and had absolutely no complaints about the food or the service. The ship is spotless and is endlessly being cleaned, especially the eating places. We had about 3.5 days at sea and we found a sun lounger and relaxed on those days but they were quite tightly packed together. Disembarking day went pretty smoothly. We had a Miami City Tour and shopping at aventura mall excursion booked to keep us occupied before our 5pm flight home, I would probably just do the city tour only if was doing it again as all we did at the mall was have lunch which we could have got at the airport and for the extra cost it wasn’t worth it. Overall, we had a brilliant first cruise and since coming home, I’m looking for our next one. Read Less

This was a "re-do" Cruise from credit we received from a cruise we originally had booked during Thanksgiving 2018. During that cruise, our ship broke down in Puerto Rico and we stayed on the ship for two days. NCL somehow got us home safely during the busiest travel time of the year. On this cruise, it was the same itinerary and we looked forward to completing it. Overall, we had so much fun and really enjoyed the Cruise staff, the ship and shore excursions! Both embarkation and disembarkation went smooth and both were quick. We had no issues. This was the first time we booked an obstructed ocean-view cabin (#8558). We were pleasantly surprised. We could still see the ocean and the ports. The only issue was that we were directly over the Bliss Lounge and could hear Karaoke night throughout the cruise. It was kind of humorous. The dining and entertainment on the ship was outstanding and we did not have any bad experiences. Read Less

We love to cruise any of the NCL fleet. The ships all have a unique personality created by the crew attitude toward us. This was an anniversary celebration, they knew it but at our request they didn't make a big deal about it. We wanted it to be our time. Shortly before the bookings were closed another couple decided to join us and had no problem getting a great cabin. Each time we needed to change our reservations from 2 to 4 it was handled immediately and without issue. They made it happen. I was amazed at how many of their staff could keep such a high attitude toward personal customer service. We enjoyed the free style dining experience and made use of four of the specialty dining rooms. We've been on this ship three times before but still found new items offered each day and new creative entertainment offerings we could not keep up with. We went on a cruise on a great medium sized ship that stopped at islands we already know and love but this time we never left the ship for a single excursion. I stand behind the captain's decision to cut the island hopping by one day and head home to avoid hitting the strong weather head-on at full speed. The turbulence was not disturbing to anyone I spoke with. Thanks to NCL for a memorable anniversary celebration. Read Less

Wanted to visit St. Lucia and Antigua and the bonus was St Maarten and Puerto Rico. Missed St. Thomas due to weather but happy with the decision for safety. We are Disney Cruise ravers and this cruise line is equal and even exceeds in some area. Beautiful ship and wonderful Cruise Director and crew. Balcony cabin was smaller than others but our stateriom steward was excellent! Lots of activities and the music was fabulous - not the head banger junk - actual dancing music! Motown and party music. Loved the swing dance lessons and bingo was entertaining. The shows were our favorite - really first rate broadway type with unbelievable energy and top of the line dancing. Blazing Boots was so exhilarating it was hard to catch your breath and the dancers taught the swing class making it even more exciting! The Russian Circus Acrobats should be headliners for Cirque du Soleil as their duo act was astonishing! The comedy of Keith Bender had us on the floor and aching for more! The buffet and main dining food was delicious and La Cuchina and Cagneys was top of the line! The Regetta shore excursion in Sin Maarten was a real treat and the kyack and snorkel excursion in Antigua were two of our all time favorites. Read Less
