Courtyard Villa with Balcony (H4) Cabin Reviews

Sail Date: March 2019
The cabin was nice. Everything was clean and in working order. They should just change the daily items brought to the cabin in the Haven. It’s been the same for several years now, It never changes and gets boring.

We were in a Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony. Our cabin had our family unit of 2 parents and 2 sons, ages 18 and 13. It was nice that they did not have to share a sleeper sofa for the entire 9-day trip. Our 18-year old took the front bedroom and our 13-year old slept on the sleeper sofa. The rooms could sleep up to 5 children. The front bedroom has a large bed that could sleep two and then there is also a bunk that can be pulled down from the wall. The sleeper sofa could sleep two as well. I am not sure how many occupants NCL has it approved for. There are two bathrooms - one in the front bedroom that is a traditional cruise-size bathroom, and there is a HUGE bathroom attached to master bedroom. The master bathroom has two sinks, a vanity area with stool and magnifying mirror, a wonderful bathtub that has a huge window so you can soak and watch the ocean or landscape, a shower with body jet sprayers, a handheld shower or a waterfall shower. There was also a canister filled with bath salts to use in your bath, 2 pairs of house slippers and two bathrobes. The bathroom also included the usual items of a hair dryer, shampoos, conditioner, lotion, shower cap, etc. It had a bathroom scale too - but who wants to use that while on vacation! The only thing I didn't like about the bathroom was that the toilet was in its own little room, but the door was clear glass. The living area was spacious and very nicely decorated. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, as well, which was great for making that early coffee without having to go on deck. All the curtains in the room (as well as the ones dividing off the master bedroom) were very heavy and kept the room very dark for sleeping (which was important on this cruise as we were so far north that the sun did not set until almost midnight and sunrise was at 3:45 one morning). Our stateroom was beautiful and spacious. The new décor onboard was very nice as well. No more loud neon colors, everything was changed to wood grain. Our room steward was one of the few highlights on this particular 10-day cruise.

We did not care We were next to Haven courtyard , which was never full of guests and we had aces to sun deck. We had so much room to store our clothes, we did not use all the space; we were three in stateroom. Our friend had own room with bath room and door for privacy. We had three TV's with two vcr's; we good get DVD's. Read Less

The bathroom was awe-inspiring, and the balcony was certainly adequate (if we wanted more, we went up to the Haven sundeck). Read Less

Awesome! very well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. The 2nd bedroom is small and probably best for 1 older teen or adult or 2 smaller children. The main living area has a 4 person table and couch. The balcony had two large wicker chairs with comfy pads and small table, perfect size for us. The master bed and bath were exquisite you could lay in bed and see out to the ocean or take a bath in the tub and watch the world sail by, it was awesome. Read Less

A balcony with a small couch, but better than an inside or ocean view room that has no couch. And we did enjoy having the balcony, the weather was very nice and we left the door open a lot, listening to the ocean.

We had a two bedroom suite and it was the perfect size for three adults. Just a couple of comments about the room: My mom had the smaller room and, although small, it suited her needs well. The bed was made up with extra foam and, according to her, was pretty comfortable. The larger room felt like the bed was part of the bathroom. It would have been a little less awkward if the glass door to the toilet was opaque. There was plenty of closet space and the bed was comfortable. The deck was a little small and only had room for two upright chairs and a small table, but having access to the courtyard and the huge upstairs deck more than made up for it. For those of you new to the courtyard (like we were), we spent a good amount of time in the area -- probably more time than we expected to. Know that the Haven attendant will bring you breakfast and even lunch to the area. To be honest, we didn't have any real desire to leave the area. Highly recommended! Read Less
