We were so excited to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary without the kids. We flew into Puerto Rico and did a Southern Caribbean on the Fascination. We brought a suite so that I could soak in the tub to ease my pain. Our cruise started on May 5th. It was a busy day and we retreated back to our cabin after dinner. I wasn’t feeling well so I decided to take a hot bath. As the bath was filling we found that water to be pumpkin orange. We called down and they sent a plumber up. He explained that they filled the tanks in San Juan and said the hot water would run clear. He asked us to keep the hot water running so it would happen quicker. On day 2 am the water was the same and we again notified guest services. They assured us it would be fixed upon our return on the ship. When we got back the hot water was the same. After we retreated back to the cabin for the night we received a letter from Customer Service wanting to speak with us about the assistance we received from maintenance. I called down and the service rep who answered my call asked if we were satisfied, I said no because I was still unable to take a bath or shower (Leon was filling the tub with hot water while I was on the phone) because the water was contaminated. She started yelling at me saying she was personally was in our cabin and the plumber has the water running clear. I told her she was welcome to come up with the maintenance dept to see the hot pumpkin colored water that was on our tub. Within 10 min they we all in the cabin once again. They looked at the water and said it was safe. I asked if they showered in water that looked like ours. They left. Day 3 by now we needed a shower. We got up ran the water and again contaminated. We missed our shore excursion and I wasn’t feeling well so we stayed. on the ship. We received another letter under our door. The guest service manager wanted to speak with us. They all came up at 600 pm. We filled the tub and they saw how bad the water was. We told them we are bathing out of the sink with bottled water because the water was contaminated and it was making us itch and made our hands hurt! (we had to wash our hands in the water thru the day) They assured us they would get a handle on things and get back with us. I also showed them the balcony during this meeting. After dinner we went back to our cabin and people were in and out until 11 pm. They asked if they could paint the balcony we said yes and that never happened. On day 4 I called and told them I was still unable to bathe in our cabin, I was screamed at and told once again our problem had been resolved. I said thats funny because I am looking at our tub filled with hot orange water, much darker than any previous time. We went off the ship for a couple hours and came back because I wasn’t feeling well. I needed to soak in the tub so the pain in my ankle could get better. After dinner that night I asked for the plumber to come look st the hot orange water that I had just filled in the tub. They sent the plumber back up. He turned on the sink faucet and filled a white paper cup with cold water and said look the water is clear. He extended the cup of water to my husband and told him to drink it.. My husband angrily said no and told him to drink the damn water. The plumber said there was no way he would drink the water. My husband told him he was clueless. The plumber was standing next to tub that was filled with dark dark orange water. We agreed the cold runs clear but the hot is contaminated. He got extremely mad at us and started screaming: YOUR STUPID AMERICANS you only want want want want something for nothing. Leon asked him to leave immediately after I got upset feeling extremely unsafe. We asked for nothing but clean safe water. For the last 4 days the only thing we asked for was clean safe water to bathe in, After feeling threatened we were hesitant about allowing people in the cabin. We have never been referred to as stupid Americans. On day 5 we received a phone call from guest services telling us they wanted to give us $150.00 for our inconvenience. I said no I want clean safe water. Then I received another call offering us $300.00 I just hung up the phone. Within 15 min the guest services manager came to our cabin and asked us what would keep us quiet the remainder of the cruise. I told him clean safe water. He said obviously that can’t happen. I simply said if you can’t provide the services we paid for than the answer is simple, I want to be reimbursed for our cruise. He told us that was an impossible request. He reminded us that we were the only guests complaining on ther entire ship. (Later after asking several guests and staff members if the had stinky pumpkin orange water we found out it was many including staff cabins). He reminded me thar he offered us the keys to a cabin 49 down from ours to shower in. I told him when he gave us those keys it was to long of a walk for me. My husband went down for a shower and the water there smelled worse than ours did (ours would make you gag). I also reminded him staff members were in and out of our cabin day and night from day 1, sometimes without knocking. Giving us different reasons why the color of our water was not clear. Giving us False hope each day. I reminded him We were unable to use our balcony as well. Anytime you went out on the balcony the condensation from the roof dropped droplets of rust on our clothes half of the clothes that we took are ruined from rust stains.. If you wanted a good case of tetanus all you had to do is come on our balcony. I sternly reminded him WE NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING WE DIDN'T ALREADY PAY FOR! I shouldn’t have to wash in the sink with bottled water for 6 days while staying in a grand suite. Supposedly the best rooms on the ship. The water has my skin on my hands inflamed and raw. That was the last time we heard from him or any other staff member was on day 5. Today I was contacted by someone in Miami who informed me that she had the crew members report and pics. She informed me the water we claimed fo be orange and contaminated looked crystal clear to her. I was floored. I explained the cold water was clear and they took pics of the cold water. We watched them fill the tub and sink with cold water and take The pics. I explained the pics I submitted were taken everyday morning and night. I asked what compensation was given? She stated we received a $915.00 on board credit. I had no idea that this happened. We did not ask for it. That was the first I heard of that. No one on the ship spoke to us about that nor did we agree to it. I told her I wanted to escalate our case higher than her. She stated “THE PRESIDENT OF CARNIVAL AUTHORIZED HER TO TELL US OUR CASE WAS CLOSED”. She informed me we would not see any further compensation. So by compensating us does that mean the staff on the ship and the president of Carnival admits fault? Do they agree the water was contaminated and we were unable to use what we paid for? We took a water sample and sent it off to a lab to Be analyzed. Can’t wait for that to come back. We wanted nothing but clean water. Then the last time the plumber came to our cabin we were threatened by him and felt extremely unsafe for the last two days of our cruise. My dream vacation was turned into a nightmare that won’t end. We chose this cruise on the recommendation of our travel agent. He is well traveled and told us this line was the best. We have been on many ocean cruises but the river cruise is better. We loved every moment. The staff is amazing. Our favorite bartender was Misha. We loved seeing her every day. She was always smiling and kept us smiling too. Nothing is too much to ask. The food is gourmet at every meal and again the staff makes every meal memorable. The cruise director was everywhere. I don’t remember any cruise director from other cruises but Florentin is in forgettable. He made sure everything was perfect. I had the best massage ever thanks to Rumena who was wonderful. Each port of entry had at least thee choices and we enjoyed each place. The weather was terrible but we still had a great time. We would choose this line again. Read Less

I’m careful with my reviews because I read them carefully prior to booking and my hope is always the same, people that write point out the good as well as the bad. We have been in 17 cruises, with 5 different cruise lines. Nine of these cruises have been in a Norwegian ship. The various cruises were on Norwegian, carnival, Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean ships. The truth be told although most would think the same quality from ship to ship, and my guess possibly what the cruise line strives for, it’s just not the case. This review is regarding Norwegian cruises, specifically the Escape. As you will see I rated it excellent and do so with sincerity. We have taken cruises on the following Norwegian cruise ships, Escape, Breakaway, Dawn, Gem, Epic, and Pearl. There are and will always be a few hiccups so to speak on any vacation regardless of how taken. It’s not so much that a problem develops, what’s of more importance is how any issues are handled. The staff, Chiefs and management aboard the Escape far exceed that of all the other Norwegian ships we have been on. My wife as well as I have a variety of medical issues, all of which have the potential of ruined vacation if care is not taken by staff to assure cleanliness in the room of dust, sanitation throughout the ship to assure colds and illness isn’t spread but my wife having a major Gluten allergy Chiefs and waiter staff assuring foods are prepared and handled avoiding any chance of cross contamination. Entering the Escape a food service manager is assigned to any and all vacationers to assure food is handed in strick compliance. Regardless of so many areas of a ship to eat, anytime a key card is swiped in a food area, that supervisor somehow responds to the area to assure no mistakes are made. Although I’m sure many that cruise are aware this is done on other ships as well as other Norwegian lines... None are as careful as those on the Escape. In fairness, any ship can be just lucky or have a bad day. But with 5 cruises now on the Escape, each cruise on this ship has actually improved and a few supervisors as well as managers have kinda got to recognize us. Chiefs and food service staff routinely add to our experience by sending gluten free items/treats to the room for my wife to enjoy. Only drawback we have found on Norwegian is entertainment. Because we cruise so often on this cruise line, there is a bit of redundancy on shows. For example, although a great show, the magician dinner show has been running for over s year on this same ship. This being said for those similar to us that cruise often and enjoy a particular ship, we lose out on entertainment because after seeing several times it gets old. So my suggestion to Norwegian staff is IF they are going to keep a show or act for any extended period of time, that show should be updated with new material. For a magician I would think this would be easy to do, why it’s not done beats me. I would think after a year doing exactly the same thing would get old on the magician as well. Same goes with the Newly or not so newly wed show. How hard would it be to change up the questions asking guests called up to participate? I realize this is being a little critical of a ship I’m rating 5 stars, but Hope is someone in management looks over this review as well and possibly consider what I’m saying as a easy way to make trips even more enjoyable for others like us that cruise 3-5 times a year and are regulars on their ships. I booked this cruise for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. It was my second cruise, both booked with Carnival cruise line. It was my boyfriend's first cruise ever. The day of embarkation, we were able to get on the ship before our check in time- which we appreciated. However, when we got on we decided to take a tour of the ship and were inside on level 4 when the power shut completely off. We were in pitch black darkness for about 5 minutes when the power came back on, then shut back off suddenly. The power eventually came back on. At that point, I was extremely terrified but my boyfriend convinced me not to let our money go to waste. Not one employee on the ship spoke about it, they acted like nothing happened. Aside from that, the ship is extremely extremely old and outdated. We booked about two weeks out and ended up getting an interior cabin on level 2. IF you decide to cruise on the Liberty, I HIGHLY suggest to NOT book a room on any level below 4 or 5. Aside from the fact that the ship rocked pretty heavily the entire duration of the cruise, our room rocked and vibrated the entire trip. We would get motion sickness on a higher floor and wanted to go lay down and rest in our room which only made us feel worse. The entire level 2 stinks like sewer. Our evening dining consisted of us sitting across from another couple at a booth which we were not expecting and did not like at all. Our sea day "open seating" brunch was not actually open seating. They sit you at a square or rectangular table with strangers and do not allow you to move seats even if you request to. Most of the employees did not speak English very well and weren't very helpful. I asked my housekeeper for a room service menu one of the nights and he said "it is in your room" and it wasn't. It wasn't a big deal at the time. But we later saw him in the hallway on the next night and asked him again and told him it wasn't in the room. It was like a battle trying to get the menu. My boyfriend spent quite a lot of money playing at the casino everyday and at one point the manager of the casino area offered us both free drinks. The waiter came around and I asked him for a menu for my order, he rushed me and said "every bar on the ship offers the same type of drinks, so what do you want?" rushing me. I tried to think, without a menu, what the name of the frozen drink was I had the night prior. He came back with a frozen virgin drink. This could have simply been avoided if the drink waiter would have brought me a drink menu. There was a massive amount of people this weekend and we were unable to even find a seat at the comedy shows, even after arriving 15 + minutes early to them. We missed out because we didn't want to stand during the comedy show. The embarkation process was HORRIBLE. They advised levels 1 and 2 to depart 1st. So, luggage in tow, we arrive to level 3 where we exit the ship to find that we can barely exit the elevator because the entire floor is crammed with people trying to get out. We didn't move for 15 minutes and had to squeeze our way thru. There was not ONE Carnival employee trying to guide people. We still tipped everyone that served us because that is the courteous thing to do. All in all, this trip was just okay because me and my boyfriend are very open minded and made the best of every single situation. However, I will NEVER cruise with Carnival again. And will tell this to anyone I know. I am so disappointed in the service that Carnival failed to provide. Read Less

Chose this cruise to getaway for a quick birthday trip. Purchased a balcony room which came with 2 of their “extra” offers. Selected unlimited beverage package and $50 onshore excursion credit. The following day, after reviewing the excursion options, we called customer service and they happily switched us from the $50 excursion credit to the 100 minute WiFi package. Upon arrival at the terminal, the associate checked us in and was sending us on our way. We stopped her to ask what we needed to do to utilize our unlimited beverage package. She pointed to our room keys and advised we would just show those when ordering beverages. Fast forward to later that day and we are ordering drinks at the bar and the bar-tender isn’t asking us for our cards. We brushed it off thinking that maybe they give everyone free drinks on the first night or something to that effect. By the next day we notice that they are still not asking for our cards and as we watch other guests go to the bar, they aren’t being asked either. This was the day that we spent at Great Stirrup Cay so we went on about our business and had a nice time. The following day, we finally decide to go to Guest Services and ask them why we aren’t being asked for our cards. We are told that this cruise is all-inclusive. Obviously, we are frustrated because we used one of our two freebies to have unlimited drinks. We were also aggravated that the customer service associate we originally spoke to when we change our freebie from the excursion credit to the WiFi and the associate that checked us in at the port never mentioned that the cruise was all-inclusive and we would get almost all available drinks on board. Come to find out, our freebie just gets us access to bottled water, Red Bull, coffee, drinks in excess of $15... none of which we needed. We kindly asked the guest services associate if they could give us a $25 credit towards 1 photo or allow us to go to a specialty dining that night (that was one of the other freebie options). We were told no, that they had no ability to make any changes like that on the ship. We would need to wait and speak with customer service once we returned back to Port Canaveral. We expressed concern that if we waited until we were off of the ship, what would they really be able to do to help us. They assured us that they would submit a case under our file with their recommendation as to how the issue might be resolved. Fast forward to the next day as we disembark and we call the customer service number and surprise surprise there is no case or any details documenting the conversations we had with the guest services associates. After approximately 1 hour on the phone and demanding to speak with someone (they wanted us to email them) they transferred us to the sole associate who could assist with these issues (cruise coordinator) (not sure what that means) and we had to leave a voicemail. 6 hours later we receive a return call from this associate who offered to reimburse us for the $32 in service fees/gratuity that we paid for this package. We thanked her for that but asked that something be credited to reimburse us for the 2nd free amenity that we were supposed to get but didn’t. She said that there was absolutely nothing they could do. After arguing for close to 15 minutes, she said that we could submit a case on the website but that it takes up to 15 business days and it would ultimately come back to her, she would add a few details and forward to her supervisor who would automatically decline to do anything for us. She refused to allow us to speak with her supervisor. We didn’t ask for much. We said that if they would even credit the $25 picture that we purchased, that would suffice. They said no. What makes that more frustrating is that when you go to the photo gallery to view and purchase photos, they print every single one out as an 8x10. We only purchased 1, meaning they will be disposing of over 50 photos of us. But they are not willing to just refund one $25 photo as though they handed us one picture for free?! Doesn’t make sense. Rewinding to the evening that we addressed these concerns with the guest services desk, we had paperwork in hand to participate in Norwegian’s “CruiseNext” program which allows you to place a deposit on a future cruise and earn an onboard credit. We explained that if they couldn’t do something to show they cared about our issue, we wouldn’t cruise with Norwegian ever again. They along with the associate at the call center both essentially said “Oh well”. If you are looking for a company with terrible customer service and no desire to make things right, Norwegian is the brand for you. The food selection was very repetitive each night and underwhelming. There were minimal activities to do on this cruise. They had various talks about how to shop in the Bahamas but couldn’t think of more creative activities for their guests. We were willing to overlook both of those flaws as we knew going in that we were selecting a shorter and not as luxurious ship as some of the other ships that Norwegian offers. Outside of this, our particular stateroom was good, our steward was very nice, but we did not receive the full incentive value for what we paid. Customer service is huge in our book. If you treat us like a valued customer, we will return. If something goes wrong, as long as the company makes an effort to fix it, we are fine. A company that refuses to fix something by giving us $25 value for something that we could have had a $100 value and is willing to lose potentially thousands of dollars from one family alone, clearly shows they have no care in the world about their customers. We will tell our loved ones to choose another cruise line to make their special memories, we will not sail with Norwegian again. Read Less

Alaska has always been in the back of our minds. This cruise had all the must see ports for us and a great price. We lotteried for an upgrade and got it - Rm 8018. The veranda provided such a fantastic view of Hubbard Glacier and our Captain Theo got us close to it, just .6 miles from the calving ice! He happened to walk by our room just after his 360 degree maneuver as I was chatting with a most outstanding steward from GOA, Jose Fernandez who BTW is impeccable at his job and so very personable. I thanked Cptn Theo for this excellent show. He was so pleased that it worked out so well and that the sun came out allowing for crisp photos without zooming. A very nice man and not full of himself happy and grinning ear to ear. Who doesn't love a Captain with an even keel? The activities were also fun and at time were setup for challenging the crew to various games. My wife Laura was ping-pong tourney champ and received the gold (colored) X medal. She beat me and I got Silver. Oh, I must add she bagged 5 of 6 shots in the (cornhole) bean bag toss. One last game mention Giant Scrabble Game played on the floor of the Rendezvous Lounge. Our team of three beat the standing high score by 30%. Good food all around and if you are willing to experiment with some new tastes then you are in for a treat, plus all the standard fare of American comfort food. "I never found any corn tortillas though" said one gentleman at the taco bar. One last find and it was huge!! Bryan James may look like an average kid (30+ yo) but what an amazing talent and stage presence. He took so many requests and knew not just the words to sing but had amazing skill at guitar work that would usually take a band to make enjoyable. You name it and 95% of the songs he did with little effort. He was coaxed to sing a few of his own songs and as a songwriter he touched some hearts and there were some large flows of tears. Man, what talent. Personable and gifted; Bryan really allowed us feel his feelings as he wrote those heartfelt tunes. One more thing, he was always in key and no pitch issues. Kind of ironic as he gained a following that would show up at every set - sometimes 5 a day. We had quite a bonding through this music with the other "groupies". "Our next cruise MUST include Bryan James" was echoed from at least a dozen folk at his last day's performance. 6 STARS entertainment right there on a 5 star ship!! Read Less

We chose Harmony of the Seas because we wanted a short cruise out of Port Canavarel with all the amenities. We like Suites and the Coastal Kitchen experience. Embarkation was a breeze, our room cards were waiting for us in our room. Loved the Coastal Kitchen for Breakfast and lunch. We actually bought the dining UPGrade and had a dinner in 150 Central and Chops Grille. While the service was nice in both restaurants; the food quality was just ok. We ordered the Halibut in the 150 Central and it was definately overcooked; I know we could have sent it back but..... The next night in Chops; the appetizers were great. We both ordered filets; medium rare. Not the best quality filets we ever had; they lacked flavor. Thought at first they were overcooked but the center was medium rare. As much as we liked the smaller dining experience I don't think it was worth the upgrade price. The Coastal Kitchen service was great; the one dinner in the Main Dining Room was also great; just too big. We went to the Grease show; well done. I always think these shows go on just a bit too long. People were beginning to leave before the show ended. Loved the Grease music so we stayed for the entire show. We went to the Fine Line water show. WOW, WOW, WOW. Best show of this type that we have ever seen, Pay attention to the first performer to come on stage; we twirls and spins for at least 15-20 minutes and then he is also in the show. Super High energy. Well done Read Less

This resulted in us having to pay a second time for air fare to and from ship with absolutely ZERO help from princess. I'm sure we can kiss that money good bye. Cabin was a nice size. Good sized shower and a good view. Our cabin steward was great. Very helpful. We lived Funch. He is a piano player and singer. The show's were good too. Tours/excursions could have gone smoother. Food and service in the dining rooms was great. The buffet was below average. Our specialty dining wasn't worth the extra money we spent for it. Pushy sales people everywhere. For our 10th cruise, we decided to try a different cruise company after previously sailing with P and O, Princess Cruises and Royal Carribean. After reading mixed reviews we were a little hesitant about the booking but we are so glad we booked the cruise. Food - by far the best food we have had on a cruise liner. Plentiful, tasty and amazing service by happy waiters. We loved not having to eat dinner at a certain time as we have had to do with most other liners. There was also no real dress code it was very relaxed but the option was there to where something smarter if you wished. Previously we have often struggled to have a table for 2 but even though the ship was full we had a table each evening for 2 often by the window. We could also use the free at sea drinks package in the dining room which was an added bonus. Drink - we paid very little for the free st sea package which included premium alcoholic drinks. Most was covered by the package which included whiskeys rum barcadi as well as wine and lager. Service- fantastic staff. The overall majority couldnt do enough for you. As the ship is smaller it was lovely to get to know the staff. It added a personal touch. Entertainment- not as much entertainment as other ships but we didnt feel we needed it as we had a stop each day and the drinks package. There were quizzes happening daily and shows in the theatre. Ship - I agree with the comments that some not all areas of the ship are a little dated but it didnt bother us. Cabin - we stayed in an indoor cabin that was larger than most other inside cabins we stayed in previously. Overall.....I'd give this cruise 10 out of 10. Lovely to see the staff so happy, drinks package added bonus at low cost and the best food we have had on a cruise to date. Well done NCL we will be returning. Read Less

DH & I chose this sailing to celebrate our 15th anniversary. It was the only ship departing from Vancouver that day so embarkation was a breeze. We received an email to board at 1pm but we decided to ignore that & arrived shortly after 11am & were onboard by 12pm. Lunch was available in the Donatello dining room 12-1:30pm. Guest Safety Assembly is at 3:45pm Klondike Sailaway Party at 4:30pm. Mckinley Moose & Stanley Bear will be there to take pictures with you. This is Princess' 50th anniversary in Alaska so for their trivia games, they are giving away "Life-Changing prizes": a drawstring bag of Princess logo items. ( I don't know what they were as I didn't win any). Be sure to attend the Captain's Circle event as you will receive a beverage voucher (up to $15 value) which you can also use in the International cafe. There are 3 Production Shows: Born to Dance, Let me Entertain You & British Invasion. The use of multimedia in Born to Dance & British Invasion really enhanced the show. British Invasion was my favorite. If you're on 1st seating, you need to get to the theatre at least 30 minutes prior to the show if you want good seats because 1st seating/Anytime Dining starts at 5 pm. Puppies in the PIazza: meet sled dog puppies. Midnight Sun Event - Experience an Northern Sunset with blankets, cookies, hot chocolate & the songs of Alaska with Frostie. I tried to attend this but it was way too windy (in the Sanctuary). Every morning from 6 am to 12 noon, you can watch the Wake Show with the Cruise Director on Channel 21. Answer the daily question & you could be picked to win a prize. Answer forms are outside the library on deck 5. On the back of the form, you can also indicate if you're having a celebration. If you notified Princess ahead of time that you're having a birthday/anniversary, they will present a voucher for a small rectangular chocolate mousse cake at your dinner table. Crown Grill is worth the $29.00 cover charge. It includes 1 appetizer, 1 main, & 1 dessert. They also have seafood. Chocolate Journeys - by chocolatier Norman Love. These are available in the International Cafe, Horizon Court, and in the dining room. Each venue will feature a different dessert & at different times of the day. If you have a balcony, that's the best place to enjoy the glaciers. You don't have to fight for a spot at the railing. It's very cold & windy on deck. The partitions on your balcony will protect you from the wind and the Captain will rotate the ship so everyone will have an opportunity for that perfect pic. But remember to enjoy the glaciers with your eyes not just through the lens, otherwise you might miss the ice calving. You will usually hear a rumble like thunder before the calving. The last sea day of the cruise has so many activities, there's hardly any time to pack. Don't bother with the galley tour. There's no one explaining anything, no samples, & nothing interesting to see. British-style pub lunch is 12-1:30 pm in the Crown Grill. Lunch is free. Beverages are additional. Disembarkation Day: Express Walk Off 7:45am, 7:50 am 7:55 am Last group off the ship by 10 am. You must vacate your stateroom by 8am. Breakfast in the dining room starts at 6:30am Breakfast in the Horizon Court starts at 5:30am * We didn't see the Disembarkation form on our door on the morning of the last sea day. But I saw one on my neighbour's door, so I looked at theirs & saw the times for Express Walk Off. DH went to the Front Desk & got the last pass for Express Walk Off at 7:45am. I love how Princess has Destination Immersion experiences onboard their ships. You don't need to get off the ship to experience the culture of the destination. So be sure to participate in the North to Alaska/Klondike activities. One night was the Captain's Gala dinner. Lots of steak & seafood options including Red Alaska King Crab Legs. We had sunny weather in Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. It was cold & very windy in Skagway & Ketchikan. In Juneau, there is a free shuttle to Fred Meyer & Costco. In Skagway, we took the roundtrip White Pass & Yukon Route. Don't worry about which side to sit on because you will be looking at the other side on the return journey. Free bottled water is available onboard. In Ketchikan, there is a free shuttle to Walmart every 15 minutes. We were on Anytime Dining but on our 1st night, I liked our waiter Mario so much, I requested to sit in his section every night. Also, if you have allergies or a special diet (Low Salt for me), let your waiter know. He'll send over the HeadWaiter who will show you the next day's menus so you can pre-order your meals. There are a limited number of tables for 2 & they are set very close to other tables. If you don't want to share a table, there may be a bit of a wait (unless you go right when the dining room opens). I found the pillows in the stateroom much too soft. They were more like body pillows but the duvet was nice & warm. In addition to Movies Under the Stars, they also show movies on your stateroom tv. We enjoyed our cruise & are looking forward to Japan in 2022. Read Less
