New York (Manhattan) Empire State Building Excursion Reviews

Almost nothing in New York is more iconic than the Empire State Building. You can view the famous skyscraper from a number of vantage points throughout the city, but go inside and take a trip to the top for the most amazing panoramic views of Manhattan.
Booked online.
Sail Date: September 2018
Booked online. Visited at 1030pm. Booked online and paid for Express Access but there were no queues at all. Night time views were spectacular but we also marvelled at the fabulous Art Deco interior.

The guide didn't explain that when we got to the top floor in the first elevator that we should find the elevator on up to the 86th floor. We had no idea what we were to do or where we were to go. By the time we understood the concept regarding the observation floors the lines to the elevators were way longer than we had time to wait so we walked up 6 floors. That wasn't very pleasant. We did see NY from the observation floor but the experience was very disappointing due entirely to the guides lack of information and no guidance on our ticket as to what to do or where to go. If you hadn't been there before or had some insiders knowledge you were lost. Read Less

I'd been up in the Empire State Bldg back in the 60s or early 70s, but I didn't remember much. That visit took place in daylight. Our city tour ended there, and it was really spectacular seeing NYC at night. It wasn't as colorful as seeing Las Vegas from the Big Wheel, but it was still magnificent. My wife, who'd spent more time in New York than I had, had never visited the Empire State Bldg, and she was just bowled over. Looking out over the city at night is not to be missed. Read Less

beware of the people trying to sell you an upgrade. They are rip off artists trying to get you to pay for something you have all ready paid for. All the attendants are well dressed and have name tags for the venue and do not wear polo style shirts. Almost fell for the "we can get you an express ticket to skip the line" for $26. We walked to the front entrance and it took us maybe 10 minutes to get to the top. Read Less
