This was Snorkel and Chankanaab excursion. The guides, Arturo and Adrian, did a great job of meeting, transporting us, arranging gear quickly, touring us around for a snorkel, taking to resaurant (though too much time spent on how to make guac), tequila tasting, and back to taxi van to port. They got our gear right away and another guide was told to come back in 30 minutes.. The water entrance was just down some stairs into cold, deep water in March. It was a fairly crowded dive spot but they did a good job keeping the groups together. If you inflated your vest at all it was hard to bring feet down from surface and avoid bumping and kicking others a bit on accident. But saw some cool fish and sights including submersed huge Jesus statue. My 8 y.o. loved it with his own mask. Guides were super kind and allowed my 4 yo to wear a lifevest and try bringing him out. I thought I'd be responsible for keeping him on and ensuring he was ok but 1 of their two guys, Adrian, stayed with me the whole time and pretty much ensured he was ok- he was very sweet. Completely unexpected but nice I could look down and we could go as a family. Had planned to just have an adult and kid stay on beach during snorkeling part. As a family we wanted to see sea lion show too and couldn't make it if we stayed for lunch by time we were personally organized. So, we left, went to sea lion show in park, and came back to restaurant during tequila tasting. Met group at spot to leave together. Well done! Read Less

This excursion was soooo worth it! For only $50 we got to visit three snorkeling sports (Palancar, Columbia, and El Cielo) and went to a sandbar with beautiful colors where stingrays would swim around us.Carla picked us up at the meeting point and took us to the boat where Ricardo, the guide, and Eduardo the driver were waiting. We first went to the Palancar Reef, the second largest of the world, where we saw some sea turtles, stingrays, and barracudas. Then we went to Columbia Reef,, and Eduardo chose the perfect spot because when we jumped out of the boat we were surrounded by fish! It was amazing! Definitely an unique experience. Then we went to El cielo, where we saw hundreds of starfish! They then took us to a sand bar with the most beautiful water I've ever seen. We had a couple of hours to relax while Eduardo made a delicious fresh guacamole and pico! They also had drinks for us like beer, margarita, soda, etc. It was definitely an amazing experience and the guides were fabulous! We had a great time Read Less

The Starfish Sanctuary and Palancar Reef shore excursion was wonderful. We boarded their boat within 300 yards of the Brilliance of the Sea. The boat ride out was a nice chance to relax and see the coast of southern Cozumel. We then went snorkeling at the reef. It was pretty deep -- 20-25 feet. There were fish everywhere we looked. We saw sting rays, barracuda, sea turtles, and lots and lots of fish. We then reboarded the ship to go to the starfish sanctuary. The depth was less than 10 feet, and there were starfish everywhere you looked. Not as much to look at otherwise, though. If you like to snorkel on your own, this isn't the tour for you. The guides were safety-first oriented, and wanted to keep everyone in a manageable area. Manuel, the divemaster, was very knowledgeable and knew where to take us to see the best of the reef. The trip back? Two words: Open Bar. And it was a blast. They served unlimited beer, rum punch, margaritas, as well as soft drinks and water. The music blasted and everyone was dancing. We even got the people at the Dolphin Encounter to dance as we drove by. Manuel, Jose, Tomas and Manuel 2.0 were just like their boat: Magnifico. Read Less

Cozumel Sports was fantastic! cozumelsports@gmail.com A 5 minute taxi ride form the port to the pier. We arranged before traveling with Eduardo. He gave clear instructions on how to get to the boat and what to bring. We rented wet suits from him as part of the package and were glad. The equipment he gave us worked beautifully and the 3 sites were phenomenal! Sea life was abundant and beautiful. Our last site was El Cielo where we swam with rays. The water was an incredible color. This was a fantastic adventure for all of us! Highly recommended!!! The boat docked at 8:30. The excursion was from 10-2 giving us plenty of time to get there and back well before the departure time of 6:30. EASY. Read Less

It was ok. It was a rough day on the water. We had some people get sick and it was hard to swim or float above water. Not the companies fault. However after the first stop the group was very tired and worn out. We did not get taken to a second reef. From the first stop we went to sandbar. It was nothing special. Maybe because it was so rough, everyone was tired, but just not what we thought it would be. There was not much communication with boat captain. The boat deckhand worked hard and made sure everyone got food and drinks. As I said it was a rough day on the water, but still not what I expected as far as reefs and sandbar, as only got to one reef and not sure why. Read Less

We took a Snorkeling tour swimming with sea turtles and then went on to a Cenotes tour. We were guaranteed to see sea turtles and did get to see 2-3 of them with 1 stingray. Swam for about 45-60 min. Went by van to the Cenotes but it wasn't what we envisioned. From you tube videos we thought it would be more like a pool that we could swing from ropes and splash into. Instead we were taken to a cenote that was a cave and we got to swim thru it like a maze. Still a good experience and my kids LOVED it but not what we completely expected. We were then taken to a private beach club area where we were served a VERY GOOD lunch buffet and got to spend some time on a beautiful private beach. Our primary disappointments besides the cenote misunderstanding, was the lack of time on the beach area and we were told by royal caribbean there would be shops to do some shopping. But no shops. We also took this excursion in Playa Del Carmen so we had to be back by a certain time to take a ferry back. If you missed the ferry you would miss the ship. Read Less
