We love Victoria but we arrive at 8 pm and leave at midnight so we won’t be able to really see or do anything. This seems to be just a throwaway stop to comply with the Jones Act.

Meh. Allowed us to buy duty free. $15 to get into town. We walked to Fishermans Wharf, had a couple of beers and went back to pack.

We only got off the ship for about 45-60 minutes and walked around the port area and visited the tent with local artisans and found some nice jewelry to bring home.

We had reservations at the Pinnacle the last night, so we never got off the ship. However, just sitting on the balcony and watching the sun go down was breathtaking, so it was nice. Nice city to walk in, but not much to do from 7PM to midnight, especially considering that it takes time to disembark. If you have underaged members of your party, you may as well stay on the ship and play air hockey. I'm not sure what was the point of including this port in the itinerary. It was a complete waste of time that could have been better spent in Ketchikan. Read Less

We weren't here very long, but on a previous trip I did visit Butchart Gardens and they were beautiful. You should always allow 2-3 hours as the gardens are large. The Empress and downtown is OK to visit once... impressive. A favorite of mine is Beacon Hill Park. It is close enough to walk to from the ship or town unless you get tired easily. Our group was mainly 70+ year olds and we walked slowly but managed. I'm not sure where it is but we found a little side street on the way back to the ship that was lined with big old trees. At the bottom of each tree the residents had all created little fairy gardens... so cute! Read Less

We were there at night, so just walked down to the waterfront and back to the ship. Since we knew we were only going to be there a few hours (and at night) our expectations were very low, so we enjoyed out time.
