Talinn is a 15-20 minute walk from the dock. The old town is easy to get around, no tour busses, so if you want to see old town your best bet is to just walk. Darling little town.

Walked around the Old Town in pouring rain. Would have left it until the following day had we known prior about the extra day. Did the HOHO bus instead

I had never been to Tallinn and was gratified to find – because we had an extra day here – that it was charming. The walled old city has cobblestone streets and medieval architecture. We enjoyed the churches and the castle – no guide but most things were well labeled in English. We also liked the many arts and crafts galleries – beautiful and unusual things to view and for sale. The second – unplanned day – we went to the modern part of the city, which was less charming but still interesting. Beneath a large hotel built during the Soviet era there is a bustling shopping mall. While some of the stores had familiar names, many didn't and we enjoyed seeing how the "real" people lived and shopped. Read Less

We did a walking tour of Tallinn, it is a very nice town and the people were courteous and fun to mingle with. We found a wonderful restaurant in Tallinn, it is called Von Krahli Aed on Rataskaevu 8. This farm to table restaurant was cozy, comfortable good prices and an excellent menu of organic and gluten free items. While this is a great one day touring town, two days is a stretch. Read Less

Easy 15 - 20 minute walk from Cruise Terminal to the Old Town. Visited the Maiden Tower ( Neitsitorn) Museum, which included a walk on the city walls, and a Tower filled with medieval artefacts, armour, weaponry, and videos about history of Estonia. The Danish Kings Garden is next door, with sinister statues of 3 monks. The old Town has cobbled streets - wear sensible shoes. Read Less

Under the storm rain with strong gusts, there is not port bridge to connect to the bus. We have to walk through the storm to board the bus. There is nothing special to see. Will not come back again.
