Another pretty town with alot of quality shopping and nice eateries every where you look. We caught the lift from the port area up to the top of the hill. It is quite a strenuous walk otherwise. The lift costs 1 euro each way and is very efficient. This is the place to buy Limoncello, table linen, shoes etc. Read Less

This excursion was too long. Around every corner it was the same view. Left tour midway. Very warm.

Loved Capri, but had to get there myself. They gave no direction or help. We had to take a cab to the city center. They supplied nothing. For all we paid, we should have had transportation.

Right off the tender, there were multiple tours available, unfortunately, we were late for them all and we took the ferry over to Positano and then to Capri which was a very enjoyable day for us.

We did a small group tour out to Capri. The tour guide was entertaining and they provided sandwiches and lots of prosecco. My only major disappointment is that the boat voted 7-4 against stopping at the Blue Grotto which I had had my heart set on. So during our free time on the island we had to book a separate boat out to do that which basically took up all our sightseeing time and cost us extra money. Read Less

We took the train to Pompeii and back. Upon getting back, we stopped and ate at a cafe on the water. Easy to get around yourself if you aren’t into doing shore excursions.

We loved Sorrento the last time we visited, and had picked up some ceramics at the famous Gargiulo and Januzzi in Piazza Tasso; so we took a bus into the square and went back to order more ceramics to be delivered, as well as a table cloth. Had lunch in the piazza and walked back to the port and stopped to shop along the way. It was a lovely day! Read Less

We LOVE Sorrento, having spent a week here when our son worked in London. Thus we've covered just about everything in the environs, including Naples. Therefore, on our last two cruises we've hopped an early morning hydrofoil to Capri. Two years ago we rode the Monte Solaro chairlift, and this year we hiked around the other end of the island to the Faraglioni and Arco Naturale. If you start early (before 10?) and do the walk counter-clockwise, you'll end up at Le Grottelle for a well-earned lunch. Read Less

Capri and Anacapri with our friends on our own.. The public bus from Capri to Anacapri is like taking an amusement park thrill ride.. Spent the afternoon in Sorrento shopping ( 3rd time in Sorrento).

On our own, we took a high speed ferry to Capri. The bus line was very long so we took a shared taxi to Anacapri and then the funicular down to Capri. Walked around Sorrento for a short time.
