Extra special lobster roast at the Sail, Power & Steam Museum grounds. Best lobster ever. Didn't get a chance to tour around in Rockland due to the tender schedule, bus to the picnic, etc.

This tour was not good. We did the highlights of Maine coast and lobster lunch. It was billed as a photo op of the harbor from the mountain. We did a drive thru, not allowed off the bus but spent an hour and twenty minutes in Camden, a quaint but not exciting town. Since we were going to have a lobster dinner, lunch was not an option for the stop. The lobster lunch was ok but in a large banquet room with no windows. Read Less

A "Tender" port, since there is no pier for the ship. We walked the area. Nice shops, good local food. Spent the rest of the day back on the ship.

Rockland really did not offer much so we took a cab to Camden, Maine and that was the best. We ate at the waterfront restaurant and it was delicious. The town had a sweet charm and we were there exploring for hours

I took the ships tour to Mount Battie (beautiful scenic view and we were blessed with a sunny morning) then off to a cute town of Camden where we were left for 2.5 hours to enjoy the town. If you are a shopper (not me) there is lots of shops. Personally I didn’t need that amount of time here but I went to sit at their harbour front and just relaxed. Read Less

Small town with lots of history. Home to some of the Windjammers that sail the coast in summer, now winterized. By chance, found Bixby & Co. a chocolatier - worth the walk. Bought lots which made it home to enjoy!

The Light House Museum was very interesting; allow 2 hours. At the Farnsworth Museum we had a private 30 minute tour by one of the curators highlighting women in the arts from the collections on display.

Main Street is being choked to death by art galleries. The staff at the Park Street laundromat are friendly and helpful. Tendering was not so great here because there were no local boats the ship could charter to help move passengers faster. I tried to go to Rockland Café on main street which is apparently famous for its seafood, and it was hideous. Bad service and awful coffee and I got the feeling that tourists are just not welcome there. The bookshop café up the road was the exact opposite experience. Read Less
