Interesting old town, plenty of historic buildings and museums etc. The park around Mont Real is worth a visit on a nice day for the views. Plenty of shopping in the “underground city”

Old Town was beautiful. We stayed in the Embassy Suites in Old Town. Great location close to the basilica. Took a self guided walking tour and explored for several hours at night, in the morning and afternoon after checking in at the ship. There's lot of history and beautiful architecture. People speak French but everyone I talked to spoke English, too. The waterfront is a great place to go, too. I could have spent several days here. Read Less

Most disappointing place. Our tour was overbooked and we didn't get to go. This was booked though another party, not HAL.

Montreal for those who haven't visited is a fantastic city as we've both lived there previously (Paris without the airfare) and old world charm and modern city center.

We walked a good part of the city, and we enjoyed renting bikes and riding out to the Olympic Park. Montreal is a beautiful, clean city with lots of good shopping downtown.
