It seemed like a typical cruise line island. It’s well kept and offers activities for everyone. I walked around taking photos and then headed back to take advantage of an emptier ship.

The beach was fine and the food was good - however it was all overshadowed for me by the shopping area and the pressure to buy from them.

Labadee - I've never been a Labadee fan and after this visit, I'm still not. We left the ship around 10am and took the free one way ferry (aka retired tender boat) over to Columbus Cove which I was told on CC that it was a great beach for kids! We were able to get three chairs under a small palm tree. Shade is at a premium on this small beach close to the water and there's not enough for everyone! We had lunch at the buffet on the island and after lunch, that's when we noticed the beach getting busier. It was so busy, that a huge family set up their chairs around us - all chairs basically surrounding us with no personal space! I inched my chair into the sun and a couple came right behind, stored their bags under my chair and laid mere inches from my head. The lack of personal space was very uncomfortable. The beach is good for kids as the sand is very soft, but it was so busy on the beach and in the water that it was hard to relax and enjoy it. Maybe we chose the wrong beach? I would have brought water shoes and gone to a much quieter section had I known. Read Less

This is a great family favourite! You simply walk off the ship with your ship card and make your way to the beaches by foot or on trolley. Families prefer the beach on the right near the splash pad (wish this one was in the shade like on Disney's Castaway Cay) which features a calm beach with beautiful sand and a view of the ship. This year, we went left where there are more rocks and algae but our children enjoyed the small waves. There are bars and buffets set up for your enjoyment. You need to pay for an umbrella though. Beautiful resort, if only it wasn’t run by Royal Caribbean’s non customer focused staff… We did not take any excursions because they are horrendously over priced but had an amazing day at the beach, set up right by the kiddie sprinkler pad.. a pushy employee set up our beach chairs which we greatly appreciated but I don’t enjoy being harassed. Make sure you expect it and make sure you bring cash. Lunch sign touted 2pm finish when entering Labadee but food stations claimed 1:30 and attempted to close on MANY patrons…disparity was relayed to employees by multiple customers which were met with dismissive retorts. Not sure if it’s more offensive or just plain sad that employees could give less then a rats behind about work ethic, customer service and the royal Caribbean brand… I will never condone nastiness but if these employees and their contracts are treated with the same (or less respect)as the paying customers, they have to be miserable. Norwegian all the way, they love your experience as well as your money. Read Less

Beach was rocky and full of seaweed. Locals harass you to buy items. Food on the island is ok, but typical hot dog, hamburgers or chicken.

The beaches were very nice, water is beautiful and clear. Wife got attacked by a crab lol. Scenery is nice, but next time I'd rather go somewhere else personally. Read Less

Beautiful. Just Beautiful. The shops are annoying though. I would have liked to walk through them, but they most aggressive sellers I have EVER seen on any cruise or island.

A bit like cococay but with more to do. Island and port looks lovely. Beach bbq is ok chicken, ribs, burgers. Full bar service. Plenty to do on the island.

My favorite stop, which surpised me. I expected it to be overly crowded, but the crowds were spread out across the beaches. I never felt crammed-in. We walked to Columbus Cove, got some chairs under the trees, and floated the day away on the rafts. Lunch was basic but fine, and the drinks were good. The only real drawback here was the locals selling their wares. They sold my nephew a pair of gross, used goggles, and later physically tried to pry my niece (age 13) away from her Dad to take her to another booth. Very aggressive, yes. But NEVER should they place a hand on a child. We did report this to cruise line staff, as my niece became a bit frightened. Read Less

We didn't do much here, just went to the Adrenaline beach and spent time in water and on beach. This was the most relaxing port of all. Shopping was an interesting adventure as some vendors can be pushy, but they are trying to make a living so I kind of just went with it. They were also very thankful for the purchases that we made. Some in our party did the zip line and thought it was great. Read Less
