Bermuda is wonderful, clean and very friendly people. The water was the prettiest we've ever seen. The historical buildings were very interesting but unfortunately we didn't have near enough time to see everything, The public transportation on the island is great which really helps since you can't rent a car. This is far an away the nicest island we've visited and we will return there again for at least a weeks stay. Read Less

Great port, lovely city, but sadly buses were out on strike. The good part was that meant we took the 20-minute water taxi ride in from West End (old Naval Dockyard) to town and loved the views and the harbor. Skip the bus and take it even if the buses are running. The prices were a bit steep, but face it - Bermuda is a long way from anywhere. The architecture and the people and the ambiance made for a wonderful day...we'd have liked 2 or 3 more and plan to return! Read Less

NCL cancelled our tour but we survived the ferry and bus ride! The Aquarium and Museum were great for an island. The Crystal Caves were marvelous. Thanks to some insiders help we were able to get around, saved us some money.

Bermuda is always a good idea.  Beautiful beaches.  Historical sites to visit.  This visit we went with a Cave Adventure and enjoyed an excursion that took us into private caves.  We were delighted to learn it was to be just ten of us.  It was informative, unrushed and ended with a swim in one of the caves.  We were in port for two days.  Our second day was partially spent exploring the Dockyard area.  They have really developed this area with enough to do for a one day stop but branch out if you can, there is a lot to do and see in Bermuda! We took the local bus to the South Shore and had lunch at the Reefs hotel.  Busses cost far less than taxis, and are frequent and reliable.

We did not go to Hamilton but stayed in the Navy Dock and took the Segway tour.  It was fun but we didn't feel the Navy Dock was very appealing.

Bermuda, was nice. we took the ferry to downtown. The one day public transportation pass was only 12 dollars. We shopped in downtown, and then took a bus to Horseshoe beach, the pink sand beach, nice beach when we were there another ship was in port so the beach was full of people, but not at all crowded. The only draw back is the walk down the hill to the beach. we took a cab back to downtown for 8 dollars and used the pass for the ferry back to the ship. Great people, and a great port. Read Less

Have excursions planned when you dock in Kings Wharf, Bermuda. There is nothing much to do when you get off the ship. We rented mopeds, but you have to be very careful, as they drive on the left!!

We actually docked at the Naval dockyard, which is a pleasant ferry ride from Hamilton and St George. If you're interested in St George, do it first. You have more ferry options in the morning to get there and back. You could easily start in St George, go to Hamilton, and have plenty of options for returning to the ship. Don't let anyone tell you "there's nothing to do at the Dockyard." The Maritime museum and commander's house are terrific. We spent nearly 3 hours on the grounds, touring the house and exhibits and enjoying the view. Take money. Meals and souvenirs are ridiculously expensive. A sandwich and a glass of wine can easily be $25 for lunch. A jar of souvenir jam is $11. CRAZY. So, we had lunch on land, and came back to the ship for dinner. Read Less

Bermuda was lovely. Wish we'd had more time. We took the Glass Bottom Boat and Beach excursion. You don't actually dock at a beach, though which was a surprise. You could swim or snorkel to the shore.

Bermuda in late November is not reccommended. The water was too cold to enter without a wetsuit. It rains often. Because they are not tourist dependent, prices are high and services are not especially geared for visitors.

HAMILTON - Was very cool seeing a cruise ship docked parallel to one of the main roads. We found a beautiful park near the post office. More scenic than the Botanical Gardens we stopped at earlier. Restaurants seemed very pricey. Asked a local and wound up in a bar/pub. Food good and sandwiches $11. A deal in Hamilton. TIP: At the Botanical Gardens ask in the cafe/shop for the shortcut into the rose garden. Wednesday nights is festival night in Hamilton. Did not go sadly. Public transportation would take too long getting back for 8:30 dinner. Read Less

Ooops, I forgot about Bermuda. As has been mentioned, tendering was a nightmare. We were waaaaay off-shore and they used a 700 passenger ferry that took AGES to fill up and unload coming-and-going. The process took up way too much of our short port day. We'd been to Bermuda once before (we docked that time) and we just walked around town this time, stopping in a coffee shop for a break. If we'd had more than that planned, we'd have been very disappointed. Read Less

Due to number of ships in port we were required to tender into Hamilton, which was long and not very efficient. We hired a private driver for a tour of the island and enjoyed the scenery. We would like to return on another cruise.
