Laurie the tour guide from Texas and Dave the bus driver gave an excellent tour filled with great facts about Fort Lauderdale including how the city got its name. The river boat took us through some of the finest neighborhoods you would ever want to see and we arrive back at the airport with plenty of time for our late afternoon flight.I would highly recommend this tour. Fort Lauderdale is a great port to start from. It is very organized, close to the airport and has a lot of hotels nearby for staying before or after your cruise.

We did the debark air boat and gardens excursion. The air boat ride (first time for DH) was nice, the alligator handling a photo op but the gardens were only average.

Being a past cruiser with Holland we found it easy to go threw . It was a very short walk into the terminal and we were rushed off to be the first groups called in.Upon returning we were rushed off due to an early flight leaving and went right into a taxi to the airport so I cannot say we had a long time to wait like disembarking in the past cruises where we have had to wait to be the last group called in the past Read Less

Here the entire group (all 9) went on a trip to the Everglades where we rode on an airboat. The only compaint here was that the airboat ride was not long enough. We were only on the airboat, maybe, 15 minutes. We did see alot of Aligators. We attended a Gator show and ate some Gator nuggets. Not the greatest things but, hey, we are adventurous. Back on the bus to the airport. From the airport we called the Comfort Inn where we were going to stay and catch a flight back to Tennessee on Monday. Back to the cold but back where people do acknowledge you when you speak (my little bubble). Thanks MOM-DAD for raising me with some manners. I hope that this review helps someone who might be waivering between RCL and NCL. For us...Hands Down RCL, But you should go and decide for yourself. Read Less

The Lauderdale airport is terrible. For the thousands of travellers passing through, they have only one restaurant and a small variety store. The restaurant serves pizza and nachos and there are huge lineups to get in because THERE’S ONLY ONE RESTAURANT IN THE WHOLE AIRPORT!! There is not enough seating to accommodate all the people waiting to be allowed entry to the secure area. The city of Ft. Lauderdale should be ashamed. Read Less

We tried to book a private yacht charger and the Celebrity tour person had not clue when the yacht left, therefore we didn't get to do the trip.

Embarkation. Pier 18 parking was closed even though there were parking spaces, because the ticket machine was not functioning. Staff indicated to my husband to go park mid-port. He ended up waking 15 min under the rain to get back to the pier... Upon return... there was a 3 hours line at immigration. The Global Entry/mobile passport line was staffed with only ONE agent and we ended up going faster through the regular line. There was a shortage of porters and we ended up sharing with someone after waiting for 15 min to have one available. Traffic agent ordered us to leave even though our kids were not buckled up yet - "go slow" was the comment. Read Less
