The highlight of this port were all the harbor seals. Not much to see here, otherwise. We had a massage on the ship and watched the seals.

It's been a few years since I've been to Ensenada. I was very impressed by the improvements they have made near the port. It's obvious they are trying to clean things up in effort to keep tourism alive. Papas and Beer is always entertaining. We had fun exploring the little shops and made some purchases. For people concerned about safety, we felt safe the whole trip. Read Less

Ensenada has redeveloped their waterfront. There are some new restaurants and a water cannon play area for the kiddies to get soaked in. While some shops are getting a facelift, the shopping on Lopez Mateos is the usual polyglot mess of run-down storefronts hawking typical touristy stuff on the noisy, northern end of the street with more upscale jewelry and artier shops at the quieter southern end. Did the drunken walking excursion. That's when you walk from one convenience store to the next and buy a beer at every one. There is no open intoxicant laws in Mexico :)

It's Mexico, there are a lot of people trying to sell you things everywhere. Take it from a someone who does this for a living. Walk around saying what you want and the price you want to pay. TRUST ME, you will find someone that has it for that price. I wanted a cigar and didn't want to pay too much for it. So I walked around saying i would like a nice $10 cigar. i walked up one way of the street and was offered $20 - $30 cigars. When i walked back down the same street, that's when I started saying I wanted one for $10. Everyone that was trying to get me to buy their stuff more expensive was now at my price point. Funny how that works. The cigar i ended up with was actually a really good cigar. Read Less

Not a whole lot to do or see. We walked the town, bought souvenirs, got back on the boat where the real fun was. Lack of any pretty beaches.

This was a horrible depressing town. We were pestered all the time by shopkeepers wanting our trade. Apart from the souvenir shops, there was very little else going on. Needless to say we didn't stay long. Wouldn't visit again.

Sorry, we have traveled throughout Mejico for many years, we love the country and their people but Ensenada is nothing short of a tourist trap. Oh yes, if you are looking for a Pharmacy, it is located 30 meters from the ship.

Absolutely nothing to do unless you book an excursion. The town is basically shut down. Shops are empty or not open, everything is extremely dirty and sketchy.
