An absolute delight of a small town, fully pedestrianised and with one of the largest castles in Europe. Good restroom facilities as the Car/Coach park. We had a great coffee & cake stop at Krumlovska Fontana which cost the equivalent of just over £6 for the two of us. As fans of 'Mucha' we visited the Mucha exhibition but at €8 each we felt we were 'Ripped Off'. A number of prints and photo's and a small piece about Mucha himself, but Film about him was not working and in comparison to the Mucha Museum in Prague a huge let down. Only part of the town we did not like was the fact that they keep a bear in a small enclosure at the Castle Moat. Read Less

Well worth the extra money to take this excursion. The old historical town along a bend in the river is lovely. I especially enjoyed the bus ride with guided talk through the countryside to get to and from the town; taking different roads each way. The guide did an excellent job of describing life during the days of the iron curtain impacting this area. Read Less

Long travel day but absolutely worth it to see this city that is right out of a fairy tale. The only other place we took more pictures was in Vienna.

We were offered a chance to go to this city, and our tour guide here was very informative with many details of the history of the city. She also suggested places to shop and eat. Very nice town.

Excellent guide on our bus tour and city tour. Learned so very much. So much history from middle ages thru 1990's. Very interesting. Time to eat in a little cafe and enjoy Czech beer, and browse their beautiful garnets.
