You cannot put "CAIRNS" as a port of call when you tender into "YORKEY'S KNOB" they are two different cities with a distance between them. The tendering into port was a horribly long 3 hour process. The tendering back to the ship was even worse with 3 hours of waiting in a long line in the HEAT!! On top of that NCL should have provided the transportation to "CAIRNS" the port actually listed. Not make the passengers pay. Read Less

Took the train up to Kuranda. It was to windy to take the skyrail back down so we bussed down and then went to aquarium.

Not the ship's fault, but we could not get our helicopter ride to the Barrier Reef. (tto see it again). Walked around Cairns---not very interesting.

We arranged our own excursion to Green Island. It was less than half the cost of a ship's tour and it included lunch. We got on at 11 AM and were back at 5 PM. We did the glass bottom boat and saw a whole bunch of fish, a ray and a large sea turtle along with lots of coral. We walked around the island and got our feet wet in the ocean. It was a very nice day and well worth the cost to see some of the Great Barrier Reef. Read Less

Embarkation was efficient. We spent a few days in Cairns - so much to do there. The lagoon and esplanade are a great place to spend some time.
