Boat docks right next to kralendijk, a very small capital town. By the docks you will see a line of tents with people offering all kinds of tours and activities and tickets to Klein Bonaire. Booked a half day trip with a local company called Bonaire Vista Tours. Most of Bonaire is Flat and in this area they mine salt. Visit to the Salt Pans was interesting. Tour took in most of the sites including Goto Lake to see Flamingos, Rincon an old inland town with Cactus Distillary, Seru Hill and of course you are driving round the most picturesque coastline. At the end of the tour we spent some time on our own walking around the colourful buildings of Kralendijk before returning to the ship. If you turn right from the ship and walk about 25 mins there is a hotel where you can pay a fee to spend the day on their beach. Read Less

Another beautiful island with glorious snorkeling opportunities. We opted to go to Cocoa Beach, which is a public beach approximately a mile or so from the pier. Easily reached by taxi it is an exceptional spot to go and swim or snorkel. There are rocks that must be navigated to enter the water, so the use of water shoes is highly recommended. The variety and number of fish we saw was incredible...even saw an octopus! Read Less

What made this stop nice was we had planned on a break from the all inclusive resort search. So Pebbles relaxed on the ship while our dining room sommelier went with me to show me a public cove near the ship that had some decent snorkeling. Spent 90-minutes snorkeling with him and it was all he talked about in the dining room. A class guy! Read Less

Also rented a car here. Close to the pier. The salt flats are interesting. Beaches were ok for snorkeling and diving....... not nice and sandy for relaxing. Not sure we would go back there again.

We walked to the right off the ship, about 1/2 away, there’s a resort where you can pay $10 for a chair and you are given a drink token as well. There are facilities there, and the snorkeling is quite good right off their floating dock.

We looked around the town and found it very welcoming and peaceful. Then booked a local taxi to visit the Salt Pyramids and Flamingo sanctuary. This cost half of the coach trip organised by the ship and meant we had control over how long we spent. Given that the Flamingos are a long way off in the distance, the Salt Pyramids are definitely the highlight! Read Less

Very nice, but casual town to walk around. Nice waterfront area to walk along. Not much in the way of shops, but that was fine with us.

Very interesting but spoilt by poor commentary coming over the lady driver's headset whilst driving in a noisy van over poor roads. Went to many interesting places including the salt area.
