We did get off the ship on Bonaire, walked around and got back on. We were not too excited about any of the excursion offerings.

We went to a beach about 5 minutes from where we docked. The beach was very rocky and the tide was very strong. I would not recommend this to others

Short stay here which was find. Really nothing here that interest us and shopping was limited. Might want to stay on the ship and enjoy the quiet pool deck

Cute, clean town. People were friendly. This is just another Caribbean island and when you have seen one, they all are alike. Weather was hot but it did not rain!!!

Bonaire another Dutch Antilles group of Islands. Bonaire means low lying land in Dutch. Of the three ABC islands, in my opinion this is the most beautiful Island, very tropical, rural with only 16,000 people lives in the Island. If 2 cruises ship arrives here the population increased by 50% for one day and have difficulty move around. It has beautiful scuba and snorkeling areas with one of the best Coral reef in Caribbean. We took the tour of the Island to drive around and also visited the Salt flats where they manufacture salts from seawater. There are still some remnants of slave quarters located on the beach. Bonaire was ok. It had decent shopping within the location of the ship, it did not have any beaches within a 5-mile radius of the ship. The shoreline was filled with seaweed and huge rocks. We walked about 3 miles and found about a six-foot long patch of actual sand next to some private property. We ended up snorkeling in that area. When walking back we stopped at a bar that was right next to the port, it had affordable prices and cool things on the menu (like Octopus). It also had Dr. Pepper, which really satisfied my 12-y/o daughter. which Princess cruise ships do not have (Dr. Pepper is huge in Texas). Read Less
