Absolutely useless for us. We never got off the ship, but we did have our champagne breakfast in port. Way too much food for us, and frankly, not too good either!

Flat island with Dutch-inspired architecture in Kralendijk, great snorkeling on the "Seacow" with their great crew. Saw stingray and sea turtle. Our friends took a Jeep tour around the island and loved it (Salines, Flamingos).

Safe, quiet, laid back town. Nothing beats the easy diving. Have your fish I.D. books ready because you'll see it all here. Although I rarely eat away from the ship, we did eat at Cactus Blue one street away from the cruise ship pier. The Tuna Sashimi will knock your socks off. Not alot of shopping or sight seeing, just a great dive and eats island. Lac Bay on the opposite side of the island is picture perfect and one of the best places in the world to wind surf. Read Less

Another place I'd like to spend more time. Great beaches, clear water, friendly people, great little town. We liked the fact that all the cab fares are posted in plain sight. No haggling or rip-offs.

Lived up to its reputation as a wonderful place to snorkel, and only 3 minutes from the port to the beach beside the airport, where we saw an abundance of fish and beach life including crabs and birds and even some starfish in the tide pools. Did an impromptu trip around the southern part of the island and saw the salt flats and the tiny accomodations the workers had to endure to survive there. Read Less

Bonaire - Water Taxi to Klein Bonaire through Princess. The island itself did most of the impressing with the beautiful soft sand, electric blue water and gorgeous reef and snorkeling available just off the beach of Klein. The complimentary rum punch from Princess was a nice touch, but snorkeling gear should also be included. Price was nominal, so it really wasn't bad. Read Less

Bonaire is a nice little spot, but if you don't take a tour, the town is pretty tiny and doesn't take long to walk around. Was quickly full with all the boat people.

Probably the friendliest port of the cruise. A small downtown that you can shop from one end to the next in 2 hours. Everybody goes here for the snorkeling. The water is exceptionally clear.

I mostly went here to join a snorkeling excursion called woodwind. They are one of the only two diving excursion businesses in the port area so you might want to book ahead of time if you are water lover. The snorkeling was beautiful and great but it was just not as wonderful as the experience I had with grenada at magazine beach. My favorite snorkeling excursion so far was still cuba their government protected corals was just colorful and the beautiful. Read Less

No need to do an excursion here. Get off the boat go right and you'll hit a beach that's perfect for snorkeling. It'll cost you $20 per person for a chair (no drinks included in this deal) or if you do what we did you might get it for less. Walk on the beach like you don't know about the charge and find a seat. Sit, sun, snorkel and wait for someone from the beach hut to pass by. They'll ask for 20 bucks each and then you start to negotiate. We told them we didn't have that much on us (which was the absolute truth) and we got the chairs and pass for 10 bucks each. snorkeling was unbelievable. Much better than Hawaii. It's a must for this port. I'm sure an excursion would get you to some different spots that may hold even better snorkeling. Had we know how good it was we would have booked a snorkel excursion here instead of Aruba. But like I mentioned before this beach was great for seeing tons of fish. Read Less

Lac Bay is fantastic, only great beach and best wind surfing in the world, but could get busy when cruise ships are in port. On Bonaire we booked an excursion through the ship because it was a short stay. I'm so glad we did. We sailed aboard the Samur - a replicated Thai fishing junk- over to Klein Bonaire for a drift snorkel. You do have to climb down into a zodiac and then back up a ladder to get onto the main vessel, but even those who were initially worried did just fine and there were several elderly passengers on board. Not everyone snorkeled, some stayed on the beach, but most of our group agreed that this excursion was one of the highlights of our trip. Chris and Yvonne, the operators/owners of the Samur, were very welcoming and the snorkeling in the clear waters of the reef was spectacular. I got to swim with a sea turtle for almost half an hour and the tour was not crowded at all. Awesome! Read Less
