A great trip. Book the taxi tour whilst on the ferry. Forget Basils Bar. Take some sandwiches and a bottle of chmpagne and head of to the right of the jetty. After ten minutes following the coast you will see a beach pergola. We had a great day there and the snorkelling just off to the left on the easy reach reef is spectacular. Read Less

Bequia is a charming little port town, fun to stroll. There's not a lot to do but interesting to see.

A small port, with some small shops, outside market stalls, and an interesting bookshop.

Charming little place, nothing much to do except walk, swim or sit and swill beer. We walked over to Friendship Beach which is not actually very far, just up and down a bit. We saw a great sign saying "We sell intoxicated liquor". Felt a bit mean not using the taxis as I am sure they only get business when the boat comes in. It is a short tender ride from the boat to the jetty. Read Less

This was a beautiful little Island...WE had heard this was the Island for model ship building so we set out to find the shops. We found 3 and yes , they do wonderful work. We watched and got a few tips on the kind of wood they use and the tools. Then we met the man that paints them. Since my husband is a wood carver this stop was particularly rewarding. Read Less

Loved it here. Highlight of trip. Sleepy town but full of character. Have to take tender in from ship but arrive on a jetty right in town. Found fabulous bar. Asked for rum punches but they didn't have any. Barman slipped out and came back with fruit juice and two bottle of rum and said, 'here make them yourselves!'. After a long evenings' drinking the bill for four of us came to about £10! Read Less

Bequia - Weather was not on our side. We took the Northern Grenadine Catamaran tour and there were very rough seas and strong wind. Perhaps 25% of the passengers got sea sick including my DGF. we fought that all the way to Mustique and then had to alter our snorkel stop to Petite Nevis (probably due to sea conditions). The water was cooler than expected and there was not much to see underwater. We probably should not have left port and the crew told us it had been very rough all week. That said, with good weather it would have been a wonderful excursion since the scenery was terrific and I am sure the original snorkel site would have been great. Read Less
