Once again we did NOT use the ships tours as they are horrendously overpriced! Not much to see in this port! Really only a stop to pick up extra passengers.

This is a sleepy old seaport. Not a lot to see in town, however, we wished we would of signed up for the tour of these Caverns. That was our only regret.

Did a walking tour with friends while my wife stayed by the pool. Fascinating town. Would like to go back.

There is practically nothing to see there. Old part of town is small and boring because it was empty of people. Not many cafes or shops or anything. All churches were closed too.

Urbino was good but the lunch wasn’t even worth $3. Pasta in plastic cups. The tour guide was actually good but we did not have 1 minute to apare for souvenirs

Ancona felt like the most 'normal' place on our itinerary: a port city with history, charm and some sense of everyday life beyond tourism.

We planned to take the beach excursion from the ship, but it was cancelled due to expected bad weather. We took a taxi to a beach instead. Even though I had asked if it was a sandy beach, when we got there we found it was not a sandy beach. It was a rocky/pebbly beach. My kids still had a nice time, though one of them hadn't brought her water shoes and wished she had. It started raining around 2pm, so we packed up and took a taxi back to the ship. Overall, it was my least favorite port, even though my kids were still happy to have had a little beach time even with what it was. Read Less

I already knew Ancona. I understand it was a necessary stopover before returning to Venice but it is a totally expendable city. I do not find anything interesting. I would have preferred to occupy that time in Venice.
