An impressive looking ship. On the day that we boarded, we asked the check-in staff, did my 21 year old daughter require to carry ID, to enable her to purchase alcohol, she replied that she didn't need to carry any ID, because her sea-pass card was an adult one. On the first hour we were on board we decided to go and see the Welcome Aboard Show in the Aqua Theatre, we decided to get an alcohol drink to watch this show, when the bar tender ask my daughter for her ID, when I explained that the check-in staff, had said she wasn't required to carry any ID. The bar tender said that was wrong and the check-in staff didn't know what they were talking about. The management was called the resolve this situation, and a female member of management, came and explained very loudly in front of all the guests at the bar and surrounding area, that the check-in staff were wrong and my daughter would not be served any where on the ship without ID. This member of management totally humiliated us in front of other guests, with no apology. We spoke to Guest services, who had never heard of any ID having to be presented. But we never received an apology from this member of management. The good Points regarding this ship: Good entertainment. Smooth travel. Food Good and good service by waiters (Except the head waiter will only talk in depth to Americans, if you are from the UK, you will get a hello from him, once in 7 days of sailing, but goes and talks to the same 4 tables of Americans for at least 15-20 minutes every night) The bad points regarding this ship: Room size: We had a D4 Balcony cabin, that is only suitable for 2 people at a push, there were 4 in our cabin, no room to move or store luggage, when the second bed was made up, you could not use the dressing table at all. Elevators: You will wait a lifetime for the elevators, very bad design, not enough elevators for the number of people on board. Guest Services: Not very helpful at all, only helpful when you spend money with them. We have cruised many times in this was the worst experience we have ever had on any cruise. Always remember BIG is not BEST
