I have been on upwards of 20 cruises before and I wasn’t sure what to expect coming on to a ship this dated. If you are used to being on newer ships with lots to do or even smaller nicer ships like Disney Cruise Line, this ship is definitely going to be a big culture shock. It’s a small ship with charm, the crew is very nice and hospitable and the ship itself is very clean so we did not feel gross or uncomfortable. However, the size of the cabin is far below average and cannot imagine having stayed with more then 2 people to a cabin and especially not any kids. There is limited space for storage anywhere in the cabin so plan to pack a little lighter. The stewardess kept everything very tidy and made it feel a little more homey than usual. We were on deck 2, with an ocean view cabin, the porthole is not huge so for the money I think we probably should have just went with an interior cabin. The bathroom is VERY small, but bring your own toiletries for sure, 2 in one shampoo and conditioner will destroy your hair and there’s no body wash really. As for food, the Buffet is decent. The choices are a little below any other ship but what they do, they do pretty well. It’s mainly carbs and starches and a few different meats. Upstairs is sorrentos pizza and the compass deli which has sandwiches and salad, my tip is to go after 9 pm, they have a loaded nacho bar!!!!! The main dining room, I must say was phenomenal. The food was always great, the service was GREAT, and we never had a SINGLE problem. Above and beyond. Activity wise, it’s pretty dry. There is overall not much to do each day so be prepared to improvise with going to the pool, doing sudoku, watching tv, making it work. The shows are a little pathetic but entertaining enough to watch. Overall, she’s definitely a little old but she did the trick, not sure we will return but had a fun time for what the money was worth.

Average ship with charm
