Norwegian Jewel Cruise Review by AmFish
- Sail Date: July 2019
- Destination: Alaska
- Cabin Type: Mid-Ship Inside
The staff on the ship was so, so amazing at each and every turn. Everyone from the general manager to the stewards to the dining staff was pleasant and efficient. The ship was very clean and constantly being improved with touch-up paint here or oiling a hinge there. The food was good, especially in the main dining rooms (Azura was amazing!), with a good selection all-around. I can't speak to the specialty restaurants, but we tried out all of the complimentary venues and had good experiences with all. We enjoyed walking laps around the promenade deck or jogging track up top to catch the beautiful views and enjoy that amazing, fresh air. Cruising Glacier Bay National Park while listening to the ranger's commentary was certainly a highlight.
We chose some really wonderful shore excursions (whale watching, rainforest island adventure, musher/sled dog camp) and honestly felt like each shuttle driver and tour guide was the best one they had. Entertainment and activities on the ship were high-quality and varied; again, with something for everyone. If you were bored--which we weren't--it was your own fault. We loved listening to the musicians at the lounges and atrium, and the main theatre shows were great (Anna and Vlad were wonderful and Cirque Bijou on the last night was AMAZING!). I think I'm at the point of gushing now so I'll stop, but I really can't say enough good about this experience. I HIGHLY recommend this cruise and will definitely cruise with Norwegian again.

VancouverVery much enjoyed exploring Vancouver, BC and especially liked the trolley that went around town. Chinatown and Gastown neighborhoods were very fun, and Granville Island needed more than the couple of hours we allotted. Stanley Park was gorgeous with lots to do and see (including totem poles, the seawall, statues, beautiful rose garden, etc.).View All 644 Vancouver Cruise Port Reviews
