Regal Princess Cruise Review by Datin
- Sail Date: July 2019
- Destination: Baltic Sea
Wifi for the first week was absolutely terrible. I had enough wifi for instant messaging but activities such as browsing a website will not work. The connection was terrible. The wifi improved during the second week but it was not enough to change my mind.
Their mobile apps were unnecessary. There's no reason to have 3 different apps for one cruise and I did not use them at all for the entire duration of the cruise.
Food was average. The quality was ok for the most part with a few stand out items. I remember the escargot and mushroom soup to be very good. Outside of the main dining area and buffet, there isn't many restaurants to eat. The pizza place was the only other one I went to and the pizza was very good.
The cities we visited were enjoyable. The two days at St Petersburg was great and I definitely needed the two days to see all the sights. The stay at Oslo was very short, that needed more time.
The television in the room was very good. It had many on demand shows and movies. It was similar to the quality you get on an airplane.
I find the entertainment lacking. There were a few shows and comedy performances but I remember other cruises to have more.
The medallion used on the cruise were very convenient. Getting on and off the cruise was very quick and simple. This part was definitely better than previous cruises I've been to.
The fitness center was average and the pool was quite nice. Lots of hot tubs. Beside the pool was a giant center stage area that was never used for the whole cruise. Seems like just wasted space that could have been used for something else.
Overall it was still an enjoyable cruise but I will not be returning to this ship again.
