Oriana Cruise Review by mekydro
- Sail Date: July 2019
- Destination: Norwegian Fjords
- Cabin Type: Outside Twin with Window
The cruise itself was blessed with good weather for nearly all of the port days and even some sea days, and the sea was calm throughout. We had some foggy days which kept the ship's siren busy, but otherwise the cruise went very well.
The Oriana offers large amounts of deck space and it was very sad to disembark her at Southampton for the final time on the 9th August.
We did have one medical emergency during the cruise requiring a helicopter evacuation, which was handled very professionally by the captain Sarah Breton, but it did not disrupt our itinerary.
The cruise to the glaciers in Svalbard was made in calm and clear weather, which gave us stunning views and a lifetime's worth of fantastic memories.
At some ports we partook of the ship's excursions, whilst at others we did our own thing.

BelfastWe took the Port Shuttle into Belfast and the the 'G2' local bus (just over £4 each for an all-day rover ticket) to the Titanic Experience. Well worth a visit - but get there early on busy days!View All 181 Belfast Cruise Port Reviews
