My wife and I cruise extensively. We love Celebrity ships for service at par with 6 stars luxury cruises. Smart ship design with multiple areas where one can enjoy smooth music, drink, conversation is another undeniable attribute of all Celbrity ships. Edge managed to lack all the above. Service in all public areas is below average. Pool is small for the ship and is further squeezed by several lounges semisubmerged in the shallow part of the pool. Occupants of those lounges naturally being served drinks and food.I am not sure if that is the main reason or just a contributing factor but water in the pool is far from clear. It was totally uninviting FOOD in main dinning room was average. Menu DID NOT CHANGE for the duration of the cruise. Buffet affords usual fare, typical for cruise ship. Nothing special. We did not visit any specialty restaurant. DRINKS. I have never spent time in line waiting for service in the bar at any other ship. Edge was the first. DISEMBARKATION. Magic Carpet is a great innovation and made departure from the ship to tenders a breath. CABIN. We decided to book infinity room based on description on Celebrity site. This is the most non-functional poorly conceived design one can imagine. It is pretty much expensive ocean view cabin. If window is open room temperature immediately equalize with one outside. Shutters planned to isolate room from “ opened” balcony do not provide one. In order to close the metal drape to darken the room requires chairs to be moved inside of the cabin. Nightstands are very small ( size of shoebox) with a half of the surface occupied by standing lamp. One of them deemed unusable completely by the room phone. In bathroom long sink eliminate most of the vanity surface. Wardrobe has no room even for cloth, obviously forget about placing suitcase there. EXCURSIONS. We chose this trip because of great itinerary. Service provided by local guides was appalling. The main goal of most of excursion was to bring group to a local prearrange store. I am not even mentioning misinformation about Pisa Florence trip with stop at a local leather factory became a substitute for Pisa. Level of information provided was very poor. OVERALL. Value for money poor. Service below Celebrity level. Disappointed

Service way below Celebrity
