  3. Norwegian Epic
We chose this cruise because of the departure and destination ports, a real chance to see some sights we hadn’t seen before. We bought 7 specialty dining options pre-departure and boy were they worth the money. Over the course of the cruise we ate in La Cucina, Le Bistro, Cagneys, Tepenyaki and Moderno which were all really nice. The only issue I had was that on one of the evenings we dined in cagneys (we visited twice) it all seemed a little rushed. No sooner had we finished starters, our main was there followed by us being hassled for desserts and did we want the check. The food was amazing but this tainted our evening a little. Entertainment was great on the ship. We visited epic theatre to watch Pricilla Queen of the desert and Burn the Floor. Both shows were great with humour and great dancing! Norwegian really do well with their entertainment. The casino was a good size with plenty of machines and games available, but what I don’t like is the $200 minimum to open an account and hit the tables. When we sailed on RCCL Jewel of the Seas, this wasn’t a policy and seemed to encourage more people to play. Norwegian, if your reading this is may be worth reconsidering! The pool areas were a great size and sun bed availability never an issue, but this is where the ship needs a little TLC. Some areas where a little tatty and could do with a touch up in order to make them feel a little more premium. So overall we had a great cruise experience. The food, entertainment, cabin amenities and general layout all big plus points for NCL Epic. The let downs compared to the smaller NCL Star were the Cabin size and the personal touch from some of the staff. Overall I really enjoyed this cruise but I would encourage NCL to have a little refresh of some of the areas onboard just to make her feel a little more up to date

Fabulous cruise but room for improvement

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony
Cabin BB 10191
Well appointed with plenty of storage. Did feel a little cramped at times when 2 of us were trying to get ready, and with an ironing board we had to climb over the bed to avoid each other. Bathroom facilities good, but shower pressure a little low
Deck 10 Inside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins
