This was a hard cruise for me to rate, there were some good things (Pier check in was very easy and early which was great, we had two sky suites on the 9th floor which were roomy and nicely appointed, and the ship is bright and clean, and the Retreat sun deck is great). But there were also some really bad things (weather canceled our 2 outdoor dining experiences at Magic Carpet and Rooftop Garden - celebrity only lets you know 20 mins ahead of time and has no solution for you other than to go to the buffet or Luminae: similar to an earlier review they decided to film a commercial at the retreat as everyone was getting back on after a sport day and basically kicked us all out; constant billing screw ups - if you are captains club it was hard to get your perks correctly accounted for such as free laundry). Overall: Rooms - Good not great. If you have a Sky Suite with a 3rd person be aware the couch is not a fold out or pull out bed. It is really more like a drawer (yes, think Seinfeld) and that person sleeps at ground level. Good for a kid maybe, not great for an adult. Edge/Magic Carpet - Disappointing, Seems like a gimmick, never really moves, generally under utilized. NCL’s Waterfront is a much better outside product/venue. Service - Average at best. Usually in suite class you are treated better - never found that on this cruise. Food - good. I would say met expectations. Comparison of Celebrity Suites to NCL Haven - I tend to compare most high end cruises to NCLs Haven product. Rooms - slight edge to Celebrity but you pay a price premium so that might be more of a tie. Service - No contest, Haven wins. They are more proactive, bring you afternoon snacks to your room (Celebrity had you truck up to the retreat lounge if you wanted anything). NCL escorts you off the Haven for port days and disembarking and Celebrity did none of that, even just watched as your struggled off with luggage. Food - slight edge to Celebrity on quality. But again NCL makes it easier and has more options. For instance at 230 on Retreat Deck Celebrity stops serving and lunch as has you go get your own - that never happens in the Haven, Overall I really wanted to like Edge and it is a nice ship but I would dial down your expectations - I was not at all blown away. Glad to answer questions if there are any!

Average sums it up for me.
