Norwegian Jade Cruise Review by Dipsylee
- Sail Date: June 2019
- Destination: Eastern Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Aft-Facing Mini-Suite with Balcony
We had the drink package as well as a 4 meal package for the specialty restaurants. We dined in Cagney's, the Teppanyaki restaurant, and La Cucina twice. Several lunches were in O'Sheehan's, and one dinner in Jasmine Garden. One dinner in the Grand Pacific and the remainder of dinners were in Alizar. Breakfasts were in the Great Outdoors daily.
I used the spa for a massage/facial special one day--so wonderful! And we made use of both laundry specials, as we had travelled for 4 nights pre-cruise and 4 nights post-cruise.
Disembarkation was so smooth, again totally painless.

Argostoli (Kefalonia)We just walked into town here and relaxed. Made a few stops for drinks and snacks, while doing some shopping on the pedestrian shopping street. Saw some lovely churches as well.View All 74 Argostoli (Kefalonia) Cruise Port Reviews

Walking TourThe first part of our tour was a walking tour of the city, which was so crowded and the weather was so hot that it wasn't as much fun as we expected. However the second part took us by bus to a farm which was much more enjoyable. The trip there was scenic but too long. But once there we were greeted by the family with welcoming drinks and music. Then we were seated for a snack--actually it was more like a meal. Platters of ham, cheeses, olives and pickles, plus baskets for fresh bread and breadsticks. Oh, and wine as well. We were entertained with more music, before getting a tour of the farm buildings. The trip back to the port was much shorter, but all in all it was a good day.View All 57 Walking Tour Reviews
Cinque TerreIt was a long day, but very full! We took a bus to the first village, walked through it, then took a train to the next village. We walked there for a bit, with a little free time. Then we all boarded a ferry for the 3rd village. There we did a walking tour, then a wine tasting. Then we were given 2 hours free time, which was great! We took a short train ride afterwards and our bus was waiting for us there. It was a quiet ride back to the port, I think we were all tired out. It was a good day.View All 87 Cinque Terre Reviews
Montenegro HighlightsWe loved Kotor! Our excursion included a bus tour to Our Lady of the Rock as well as a walking tour of Kotor. We finished up at lunchtime so spent time on our own getting lunch and did a little shopping. Sailing in and out of the port there was gorgeous!View All 80 Montenegro Highlights Reviews
La Valletta Walking TourThese 3 tours were all combined in one. We were supposed to visit the Cathedral, but because it was Sunday the Archeology Museum was substituted. We had been so excited to return to Malta and were looking forward to free time in Mdina. However our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Malta and wanted to impart every bit of that to us. It got so boring, and I love history. We spent so long in the Museum and walking through Valletta that we had very little time in Mdina and he initially was not going to give us any free time there. Several of us complained so he relented and gave us a half hour. It was very frustrating. If we had known we would've just paid for a cab to take us to Mdina and back.View All 20 La Valletta Walking Tour Reviews
MykonosWe just wandered the streets and alleyways through town. Got to the windmills and Little Venice. Shopped and ate and drank local wine. Then made our way back to the ship very easily.View All 1,035 Mykonos Cruise Port Reviews

Pompeii Walking TourIt was a very hot day, but our guide made the tour so worthwhile! He had so many stories and kept us all moving and together. We were all supplied with bottles of water before we started the tour, which we really needed. It was an amazing place to see.View All 452 Pompeii Walking Tour Reviews
Oia VillageThis tour was worth it for the iconic photos we were able to take in Oia. We also stopped while there for drinks and snacks. Had the most delicious tomato fritters! The tour took us by bus to Oia, gave us plenty of free time. It was very crowded but worth it. The tour took us back to Fira where we had all the free time we needed to explore the town. We were given tickets for the tram that took us down to the port, and the ride was fun.View All 213 Oia Village Reviews
Wine TastingBefore our tour we were able to see some of Messina by the hop on hop off bus, which was great. We had lunch in the main square and got to see the bell tower show at noon. Then our tour started at 1 and we were bussed first to a stop to see a wall of lava from Mt Etna. Then we went to the San Michele Winery for a tour and tasting. Snacks were included. Our guide was great and the day was very enjoyable.View All 22 Wine Tasting Reviews
VeniceWe arrived 2 days pre-cruise. Through Viator we booked a serenaded gondola trip one night and a ghost tour the nest. Both were fun. Stayed at the Hotel Flora which was centrally located. Getting to the port was a breeze. We simply went to the San Marco boat stop and bought one way tickets and were dropped off right at the pier. Couldn't have been easier.View All 1,425 Venice Cruise Port Reviews
