  3. Mariner of the Seas
We all had a great time on Mariner Of The Seas! This was a short 3-Night cruise that we took with my in-laws including two kids ages 2.5 and 7. The ship was excellent with many activities for all of us. Our 7 year old niece enjoyed the kids club- she asked to go back every night. We ate in the Main Dining Room all nights and had excellent service there... most of the food in the MDR was quite good- a few hits and misses- but the staff solved our few problems with grace, always offering another item. Lunch and Breakfast were surprisingly good in the Windjammer buffet... lots of variety... not fancy, but satisfying. Perfect Day CocoCay is great. We had a wonderful day there. The day before in Nassau was fine- not my favorite destination... but we took a 2.5 hour tour of Nassau from TripAdvisor that we all liked. After the tour we went back on the ship to enjoy everything Mariner has to offer. We loved the piano player in the elevator- he was outstanding. So our top things good about Mariner were the ship, the main dining room service, the atmosphere entertainment, and the surprisingly good buffet. Please note: Dress code for dinner was quite varied on the ship, but that was fine for the type of cruise it was... we, personally, always dressed nicely for dinner (as did several other cruisers) BUT it must be noted that some did not... and frankly, it’s not an enforced thing. Also Note: My 2.5 year old niece did not really have activities to participate in (we were not going to put her in the paid babysitting service- we just kept her with an adult family member at all times) Be aware there is no little kids splash pad on board- just know this if you are traveling with a little child... Now our 7 year old niece had a marvelous time- just perfect for her. She had so much fun- she did the SkyPad, the Rock Wall, the waterslides, and loved going to the Kids Club. So just know before you go what your kids will want in activities and plan accordingly.
