  3. Norwegian Escape
For a new boat, the Escape had many flaws and was just average. It was ENORMOUS, but not in a good way, in my opinion. Although I have heard good things about Norwegian, my family and I did not love the Escape. First of all, the main adult pool was WAY TOO SMALL for such a big ship. Not sure why they designed such a big boat with such a small pool. And the worst part of it was, it was either 8 feet deep where you had to tread water, or you had to sit on the side, but because the pool was so small, there was never anywhere to sit. Second, because there are 4000 people on this ship, the decks were lined up with endless rows of lounge chairs so tight that it was extremely hard to pass through and we felt like sardines while we layed out. There were no tables whatsoever to put food or drinks down either. Would’ve been nice to see some comfortable lounge seating with tables on the upper deck by the glass. Although lounge seating is available on the eighth floor deck but it is very cool and shaded and is in a designated “quiet area”. The restaurants had good food, but not great like you would expect on a cruise. It was just OK. Water slides and zip lines always had long lines and my kids went on only once. (Personally, I thought they were an eyesore on the boat.) Service overall was friendly. Their show “After Midnight” was the only entertainment I really enjoyed. However, the ship did have a lot of very nice tucked away bars and the drinks were delicious, using top shelf liquor. Overall ship was very clean. Embarkation and disembarkation was extremely smooth considering the amount of people.

WAY TOO BIG!
