Chocolate Journeys desserts were AMAZING! I enjoyed my balcony stateroom on the Aloha deck foreword starboard. The food was great throughout the ship with only a few dishes not to my liking. I was able to relax on this cruise with a nice balance of sea days and port stops. The guests were great to meet and get to know and there was a mix of ages and group sizes and celebratory occasions. I enjoy Princess Afternoon Tea, English Pub Lunch, the pizza bar, and the movies in the stateroom and at the pool. The gym was great and I should’ve used it more. I wish the salads were better in the dining room but I guess I could’ve made my own in the buffet. I wish Princess had an itinerary out of Jacksonville or Orlando so I didn’t have to drive to Ft Lauderdale. Overall I really enjoyed my vacation.

Cabin Review

Balcony
Cabin BE A235
Nice balcony cabin. I enjoyed the overhang protection from sun and rain, and the privacy of no room overlooking ours from above or below. Also there was a mat on our balcony which seemed to keep the floor dry whereas balconies below us on Decks 11 and 10 appeared to hold water. The closet was spacious and the room was spacious other than the side of the bed opposite the desk. I wish the bathroom was updated. The TV location and selection of programs was excellent.

  • Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Embarkation and Disembarkation were excellent. Parking full-service at Park-n-go was also exceptional.

I really wish it was easier to leave the private island and explore Eleuthera but you’re limited to $100 and up private tours or what the cruise line offers in South Eleuthera. We enjoyed the paddle wheelers and snorkel equipment, but there was no tutorial on use of any of the rental equipment and safety was a concern. Someone capsized on their kayak and we had to rescue them from our paddle wheeler. The local staff was inattentive. It’s best to stay on the beach and only go in the water if you have experience.

  • Island Tour
We loved our best of St Maarten tour. We had an excellent driver/guide, Junior. We hear poor reviews from guests on a different bus, so it’s all in the driver, but Maho Beach was fun (we had 5-6 planes land overhead, jets and props) and learned a lot about the island. The French Bakery was very good as was the ice cream at The Carousel. After the tour jet ski rentals at the beach in Phillipsburg was convenient and affordable. The island is still noticeably devastated by the hurricane and in recovery, but there were lots of tourists and the locals were really welcoming and friendly. We felt very safe at all times.

  • St. Thomas
We traveled to St John on our own by taxi/ferry/taxi. Trunk Bay was amazing and the snorkeling breathtaking. The snorkel rental company was great, thoroughly explained the use of all of the equipment, safety information, what to do if, etc. Lots of fish, all sizes, huge coral, all starting 40ft or so off shore. Make sure you have enough cash ($10 pp each way for St Thomas taxi to Red Hook, $8.15 pp each way for St John Ferry, $6 pp each way taxi to Trunk Bay, $5 pp to enter National Park (they accept the park pass), $15 pp for snorkel fins, mask, and vest, and approx. $15-20 pp to eat snacks from beach vendors unless you bring your own, plus plan money for shopping and snack in Cruz Bay. We ran out of money.
