I've just returned from our Carnival Sunrise Cruise. I love cruising and I've cruised many times but I was so disturbed and overwhelmed by this cruise. First off the food and crew were good. But that was about it. I was traveling with my daughter, her husband and 3 children for their first very much anticipated family cruise. First day weather was bad and all activities were closed (pools, slides, ropes, everything! My 6 year old grandson got sick and medical on board was not always open and Did Not have children's Tylenol...really? There were 2 small pools and not enough deck chairs....the six of us had to share 1 deck chair. This ship holds 3300 passengers but ship's amenities cannot accommodate them! Drinks packages, which were extra $ couldn't be used until the next day when we were in international waters. We were supposed to have the 2nd seating for dinner but upon arrival found that we had to have a reservation. Bar service was very slow. Food lines were slow, especially the pizza line...and it was hard to find a table to sit. I was looking forward to lobster and steak...but sadly this would have been more money, it wasn't included. There was a big fight that broke out with 20-30 people throwing deck chairs...there was another altercation among 3-4 men, luckily it didn't end in fist fighting. On disembarkation, the police boarded.....not what you expect! This ship is touted as the Fun Ships, but it was too darn crowded and Nothing about it was fun! Needless to say, my family will never cruise again.....I may, but definitely not on Carnival!
