This was my husbands first cruise and my 3rd. He was a reluctant cruiser so we choose this Greece-Croatia Mediterranean cruise as it had many port stops and was only 7 nights. Turns out he loved it. We chose a balcony cabin which gave us many opportunities to view the beautiful ports as we came and left. Breakfast became a must on our balcony as we soon found we did not enjoy Windjammers selections for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In saying that we used Windjammers for snacking-taking fresh fruit, cereal, milk, yoghurt and cheese back to the room. We tried izumis-Japanese-nice, Chops-good steaks and Giovannis-italian all were quite tasty. The mainlining room for main meals were also good-no complaints here. The service staff on the whole ship ere really marvellous, diligent, attentive and do now how to make you feel special. From our young assitant waiter Dmitrii to Oscar-our room attendant and Rowena and Joah our drink waiters we could not fault their service. We did enjoy The Schooner Bar and particularly liked the Pianist/singer in the late evenings. Entertainment onboard was a bit hit and miss-one show we walked out of because the female lead was so out of key we couldn't watch-whether or not that was sound or ear piece issues we were unsure-but many people were taking about it the next day. However there were many other options around the ship to enjoy oneself, particularly at sea days. The ship itself could definitely do with a revamp, outdated furnishings etc...but it was clean and comfortable. The ports- *Dubrovnik-cool-we hired a scooter on our own from Modena scooter hire and it proved to be a very fun day. *Kotor-Montenegro-boring,but the day went was raining and had lots of could coverage-we went on the Grand Montenegro Day excursion-I do not recommend it *Santorini-big let down because of thousand of tourists. w did the Oia Village tour which encompassed a winery tasting-worse wine I have ever tasted.I do not recommend this tour. Oia itself is stunning but you d nt get to enjoy any of it because of the crowds. *Katakalon- Loved it *Venice-Loved it Verdict we like cruising, and will definitely do it again

Great fun, great crew and a great experience

Cabin Review

Spacious Ocean View Balcony
Cabin 3B 7024
I was surprised at how large it was. There were enough spaces for all our belongings. The bathroom is tiny but functional. Water pressure-not too bad.
The bed was surprisingly comfortable- we slept well on the ship.
Sofa was comfy, didn't use it much but it as nice to have.
The artwork is atrocious-very dated and the style of the decorative finishes definitely needs an update but the room was comfy and clean. (Thankyou Oscar)

  • Dubrovnik
We hired a brand new scooter from Modena scooter hire and toured the Old city and surroundings on our own. Best day.
The scooter was reliable but not high powered so we stayed away from the steep hills as I was riding pillion with my husband.
We ate lunch at Bon apetite- the pizza and wine was good.
We drank coffees on the house at the Modena night bar where we hired the scooter.
All in all a great day away from the maddening crowd. Tip- get in early to the old city before the millions of other people do.

We loved it. Got off at port-turned right and just browsed the shops. We had a recommendation to shop at Christos Jewellery store (as I was after a certain piece). The hospitality was warm and welcoming (drinks provided). The jewellery was handmade, great quality and backed by the ships guarantee as well, and yes you can negotiate the pricing- intact white a it. Janis (the owners son) gifted us presents and also shouted us lunch and drinks at his cousins restaurant Porto. This was unexpected and completely fabulous-pure greek hospitality. We then walked down and hopped on a little"train" for 6 euro each and explored a little further -it takes you down to a beach where you can hop off if you wish and catch the later train cart back.. All in all a fabulous day, stunning weather and way better experience than Santorini.

  • Montenegro Highlights
The Grand Montenegro Tour was boring....we did have poor weather though which meant the views up high were covered in cloud so we couldn't see anything. This was the major part of the tour climbing the mountain in a tour bus with no views. The guide was informative but had quite a thick accent and monotonous voice which found me tuning out at times. We had a snack and drink at a restaurant up the top and a chance to buy some local products in some market stalls set up for the tourists. The Budva walk tour was hindered by terrible ear sets, circa 1980 and most of the time we couldn't hear the guide- so just gave up on the commentary and followed the tour guide like sheep. Had an ok lunch at a bikie bar with fabulous company. Was happy to board the ship at the end of the day.

  • Oia Village
Th tour guide spoke very good English and I was engaged in her commentary for the most part whilst on the bus to Oia.
Oia is stunning but so packed with tourists we could not explore it properly, nor had the time to adventure there properly. We snapped the appropriate pictures- the blue top churches but this whole experience is just ruined by the masses. Such a shame allowing 6 cruise ships in on on day.
We visited Santa wines winery- stunning view-terrible wine-very average nibbles, although the olives were good (as you would expect.)
Into Fira next- we abandoned the walking tour again because of the crowds and just found our own place to have lunch and then boarded back on the bus. The tour guide made it very clear that we had the option to take the cable car back down and find ur own way back to the port but stipulated that the queues for the cable could be horrendous and we could be in danger of not getting back t port in time so demised this part as well. In fact the whole bus of passengers on the tour chose to miss the cable car ride infer of missing the ship.
On speaking to other passengers on the ship that evening many took the cable car and loved it.
