Independence of the Seas Cruise Review by DGalFL
- Sail Date: May 2019
- Destination: Baltic Sea
- Cabin Type: Interior
Our first Indy of the Seas sailing. Two seniors.
Even with everyone mostly inside, the shop did not seem over crowded.
Food was adequate. Although in the main dining room their pasta dishes were not very good. Regular steaks off the menu were thin, tough and grisly. Other than that, we were happy with the food. We had the 6pm seating.
Desserts were great. And the food from the coffee area on the promenade was sometimes better than MDR.
We were in a promenade window cabin, 8th floor. Noise was not really an issue. Other than occasional party below, the room was very quiet. Even with a connecting door, there was no noise from bordering cabins.
Great staff overall.

Shower wasn’t working properly. We should have reported right away. Once we reported it, staff took care of it. Still a puny shower though. Small with low water pressure. Bed was too hard. Ever with additional padding on the mattress, it was a hard bed.
I don’t know offhand the cabin category. Just guessed.
