Grandeur of the Seas Cruise Review by kolada
- Sail Date: May 2019
- Destination: Canada & New England
- Cabin Type: Ocean View
Ship is older but was clean and tidy except for very dirty outside windows. Since it is a smaller ship the crew is friendly and good at remembering you and making you feel pampered.
Cabin 3124 is small, quiet and comfortable with adequate storage.
Unfortunately Royal falls short when it comes to food quality at all levels. Windjammer's quality is at best, equal to Golden Coral. Many items over cooked, dry, tough and tasteless. MDR is about the same as Outback. Specialty restaurants are only slightly better. Service far out shined the food quality by a large margin.
Cruise directors felt insincere and phony. Entertainment activities where lacking in originality and not the best fit for the passenger demographics of this cruise. Main theater under utilized for activities. Many were poorly timed causing overcrowding at the buffet,
Due to smaller ship size, it does make it easier to make friends and connect with others.

Old Town Trolley TourThey seemed rather disorganized and although it was supposed to be Hop On/Hop Off we did not get off as it appeared it maybe a very very long wait to get back aboard a trolley.View All 32 Old Town Trolley Tour Reviews
