We have sailed on all the RCI big ships and have always enjoyed those cruises. This ship had some interesting new features like the musical stairway to the buffet and the Mexican cafe. It also had some downgrades like the public restrooms with paper towels that disintegrated in your hands. The food was okay but their steak and prime rib, even in Cagney's Steakhouse, was chewy and fatty. The shows were excellent as they always are on RCI. But there were over 900 children on this ship and we saw and heard every one of them. The noise level was incredible. The was no place to enjoy a quiet meal. Even the Solarium which is for adults only had kids in the bistro. Getting a chair around the pool in the Solarium was a challenge and even though the hot tubs hold over 20 people, late afternoon was the only time we could get in. This was truly a ship for young families. Parents take their children out of school anytime of the year so even our strategy of never cruising when kids are on school vacation doesn't apply anymore. If you are over 60 years old, this is not the ship for you.
