Loved this ship! So glad they are making a duplicate with the Princess Sky. This ship is large enough to keep everyone occupied and user friendly too. Loved the mid ship atrium. Gave the Ship a sense of community. We selected this cruise because of the many ports of calls. Gave us a good flavor of the Western Caribbean. The medallions were really handy and helped a lot when we got off the ships with identification and getting back on the ship. Often when we disembarked there were other cruise ships. The Princess medallions and the staff would have no lines, while other cruise lines would have lines that snaked all over the pier. The entertainment was amazing and the movies under the stars truly an unique experience. We found the staterooms to be ample in size and both my husband and myself are not "small" in stature. However in all fairness we were not in the rooms much either, as there is so much to do on the ship and we booked all 4 ports of calls shore excursions. Shore excursion are pricier than what you can find in the port, however if safety and getting back to your ship on time is a concern I would stay with the Princess line shore excursions. Overall this was a wonderful experience for our entire family. We did this during spring break and brought our 2 young 20's daughters. The age mix on the ship was perfect. There were many families with small children and a few teens and college age students. The night life was very tame. If you are looking for a party boat this is not your cruise.

What an amazing ship!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony
Cabin DD D202
Very adequate. We didn't spend much time in our cabin. Really enjoyed the balcony in the morning. Also our balcony was open to our kids room, so we could travel back and forth easily in the morning.

  • Cozumel
If there is a west wind the beach will have seaweed and debris and the water will not be clear. (full disclosure) they told us this before we loaded the ferry to go over. Ride over was pretty wild, due to winds and the waves. Facilities were amazing. Food average. Very safe place. The guacamole is worth the entire trip as well as the salads. I fell in love with a Mexican potato salad and a Mexican cucumber salad. We actually wish we had more time on the beach. Very relaxing even though we didn't get into the water. Drinks are watered down unless you order from the cash bar. Staff was very nice and extremely helpful. We would go again, as we felt very safe as a family and enjoyed the island - with a minimal commute time. .

The best! Would do this in a heart beat again. so much fun! Cross between alpine slide and roller coaster. Only bad part was the line. We stood in line for about 1/2 hour, which I understood was nothing compared to others.

  • Dunn's River Falls
The Dunn's River Falls is an amazing destination. However it is very crowded and disorganized. The bus ride is over 1 hour to get there. Our tour guide was informative and the time went by fast. However the tour guides on the Dunn's River were pushy. This is a very difficult climb and not for people who are not athletic. The water falls are very rapid, the rocks often are hard to see when you are climbing and you will get soaked from head to foot. So please no small children, cause if they fall they are headed for the bottom of the falls. Make sure you purchase good water shoes before you go on this one and a pouch or fanny pack that is waterproof. After I say this, I have to admit it was a wonderful place when it is hot and sunny. truly beautiful and we had a lot of fun - my College aged kids loved it. Just be for warned and prepared.

Great way to spend the day until our flight left. Our tour guide had 30 plus years of experience and was great!

  • Beach
Rum Point Beach - Stopped for lunch. Great food, but services was really slow in getting our food. We ordered the catch of the day - Mahi Mahi. Excellent. Beach was partial roped off for a private function and there were no chairs available. Swimming area not great as mostly coral and grasses. I would stop and have lunch here, but not spend much time on the beach.

  • Snorkeling
Left the stingrays and went to a small reef to go snorkeling. By the time we got there the fish were kind of shy and not terribly hungry . Think a lot of other boats had been there before us. People who had never snorkeled before loved it. Other who had done lots of snorkeling on reefs didn't find it so great, Plenty of wave action and 8 - 10 feet of water. Probably not a great activity for young kids unless they are really strong swimmers and use to snorkels and masks.

  • Stingray Swim
Best one ever! don't miss This. Wild Stingrays in there own environment. Got to hold, kiss and feed a huge stingray (would guess she weighed 100lbs). They come in naturally to this sandbar in the bay. Our captain (Chris) and his mate (Dave) were amazing. Highly recommend this excursion. Sand bar is about 4 to 5 feet deep of water with a swift current and waves - so most kids stayed on the boat.

  • Dune Buggy Heritage Adventure Tour
Didnt like this. The Dune Buggys are very old. The seats are narrow and beat, so not very comfortable. There is not sand, just driving on the dirt roads, which have a lot of potholes. Our guide was amazing, but the stops are not very exciting or worth the drive. This was one of the more expensive shore excursions we took on this cruse and definitely not worth the money. I would stay on the beach next time and save my money for another shore excursion.
