Always wanted to do S. America. We left from Ft. Lauderdale and 49 days later arrived in Los Angeles. Google this and you will see all the ports those cruises go to. Regal Princess is a good ship, big waves seem have no effect on the ship. Food was perfect, the Piazza was to noisy for our taste. There is the ice cream parlor, wine bar, International coffee with snacks for during day and night. Internet was good and affordable. The buffets are great, no long lines and you can sit outside too. On the 13st floor is a Jogging trail which we used everyday to walk 4 miles. Pools where heated and not crowded. The SPA's had about 100 degree. Movies under the stars is a highlight for the evening. We have more than 250 days of cruise experience - so we know about illness. So much noise is made about the NOROvirus - which one can avoid through hygiene. Not much news about getting upper and lower respiratory illness. We did not go to: restaurants, theater, other gathering of people, had a balcony and used the buffet sitting outside eating. In Spite of that both of us - and 1000+ guest fell ill. So if you plan on going on a long cruise - get ready to get ill. This is true for all current cruise ships, maybe new once have better air management.
