We spent the extra money on the suite and it was totally worth it. I can say that the service level was top notch. Food was great. Much better than our Disney Cruise experience. Ship is very well maintained and I don’t mean in the sense that things are just “painted” over and over. It’s clear many things have been revamped and replaced. Disney was nice but “old” nice. Not Norwegian it’s clear they take great price in their “facilities”. My kids loved the kids club, also more than Disney. The only lame part about the kids club was the check in took WAY too long (Disney does better). The one area where the Norwegian did not stack up to Disney was the entertainment. The guest entertainers were great. One comedian. And one magician. The on board entertainment staff were extremely talented and I don’t want to take anything away from that. What I was not imprsssed with was the quality of the content they were performing. As an example. Most of the songs during the numbers were from the 60’s and even some from the 50’s. There was a dabble here and there of some seventies and maybe even 80’s but per the cruise director the median age in the ship was 48. I am 40. Who in the hell who is that young is listening to stuff from that far back??! My parents were born in 1956 and they don’t even listen to that old of music. Save that stuff for Holland America and try to bring it a little more modern. Richard thecruise director was a great face to see consistently. He was very engaging and friendly. Overall the cruise was fantastic and I’d totally reccomend.

Better than Disney, but ditch the old people music
