My husband and I took our 1st cruise last week and it will be out last. For starters we were supposed to receive a copy of our final bill by 5:00 a.m. the morning of departure & didn't. Arriving home we were charged $300 with no explanation, logged into our account & our summary is "unavailable". We checked our charges the night before and they were $114 which we agreed with. We did not make it to Great Stirrup Cay which was the main reason we booked this cruise to begin with. I called guest services on board to find out what was happening and was rudely told we can do this it's in the fine print. I asked where we could go in Nassau and if there will be beaches nearby and was told there is a beach within walking distance but it's not that nice so we could take a taxi to another beach. I advised that we were nervous to do so in a country we are not familiar with especially since I am pregnant. I was then told I don't know what else to tell you and hung up on. Speaking of my pregnancy I was extremely upset to learn the casino is in the middle of the ship in the middle of everything, I had to walk through second hand smoke daily and expose both myself and unborn child when my doctor has specifically told me to stay away from it. Not only was the smoke on floor 7, but 6 & 8 b/c your casino is not closed off & smoke is not contained. Its disgusting and unsafe for pregnant guests, children, elderly and those medical conditions! It was evident to us throughout our entire cruise that the staff hates their job. 80% of the staff we encountered were rude, nasty, & annoyed by the fact that they had to do their job. We traveled with someone who has an allergy and every meal was a disaster waiters would roll their eyes at her & walk away without answering her question. 90% of our meals were either incorrect or we just wouldn't get what we ordered. My husband & I attempted the buffet and on 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS we found HAIR IN OUR FOOD! Although our room was clean there were 2 -3 occasions we found LONG BLACK HAIR in our clean towels when getting out of the shower (WE ARE BLONDE)!I called guest services again to make restaurant reservations and was told there weren't any, I could try just going and see if they could get me in. When I explained my frustration and disappointment with our trip, we were again abruptly hung up on. Finally, on our second day in Nassau we got off the boat around 10:30 a.m. I had to go right back on the boat as I was not feeling well only to find out this is when Norwegian thought it would be a good time to hold your fire drill and stopped all elevators. I had to climb the stairs all the way to the 13th floor pregnant and not feeling well. My husband and I are so disgusted with Norwegian and our trip Our vacation was not enjoyable at all.
