  3. Enchantment of the Seas
My husband and I chose a short cruise on a small ship just to have a quick getaway from the freezing temperatures we have been experiencing this winter. Enchantment is clearly an older ship that could use some updating, but we had a great time and perfect weather. Port Canaveral is great, we love cruising out of this area as it is so laid back and easy to navigate. Took a shuttle from the rental car drop off and embarkation went smoothly. I enjoy a smaller ship in a lot of ways, and found the food to be much better quality than some larger ships I have sailed on. Not a lot of options for specialty dining but the main dining room was great, and service was good. There is a lot of wear and tear throughout the ship, usually one of my favourite places to spend time is the solarium but it could really use some updating. Around the ship it's easy to spot things like worn out carpet and marks on the walls, but if you are easygoing whatsoever it is easy to look past. The director and activities manager were great, Love and Marriage was hilarious as usual. We missed most of the shows due to our late dining time, but my husband really enjoyed the late night comedy show. We went to karaoke at Boleros almost every night which was a huge hit, lots of good singers for such a small ship! In Nassau we went on a snorkelling excursion, a small boat took us all to a reef off Athol Island. I really enjoyed it, my husband who is more of a pool than an ocean guy would have liked it better on a calmer day. The people running the tour were great. In Cococay we booked a spot on a private area of the island with two loungers and a shade. Lots of construction going on everywhere but it wasn't disruptive, we had a perfect beach day and saw stingrays and two small sharks while we were swimming which was very cool. Can't wait to see the island once all the construction is finished. We opted for early disembarkation which was a great choice, usually we sit around the ship without really being able to do anything for a couple of hours but we decided to try this and I'm so glad we did. Got off the ship early so the port was very quiet and quick, had our bags with us, and drove to Orlando and got some shopping in.

Aging ship, still a great time.

Cabin Review

Ocean View
Cabin 2N 3624
Our cabin was fine, we didn't spend much time there so we weren't picky. It was located well, our steward did a good job. The cabin is the same as the rest of the ship: obviously aging, but if you aren't being picky about little things it is perfectly fine.
